Do all SM of the same chapter refer to each other as brother regardless of rank or do lower ranking SMs call their superiors 'Sir' to show respect or whatever?

There are different ranks within each chapter. There's a whole hierarchy, but theres a lot of moving around. A sergeant whose been serving for centuries fights along his brothers despite his personal renown. It depends on the individuals really, and different chapters deal with their veterans differently.
So for example, a sergeant is a sergeant, but he is also a battle brother. I wouldn't imagine a Chapter Master being called brother though...

It would depend on how close the chapters are I would think. For instance, Imperial Fists would probably not mind having to work alongside Black Templars, Crimson Fists, or other descendants.
Also, considering the fact that all SM's are descended from the Emperor, it would make some sense to call each other "brother".

When speaking to a superior I find that Brother is often added before the title of that marine. Like Brother sergeant or brother captain. Some chapters also seem to use their names more than others. In this case Brother seems to be used before the marines name aswell. Most chapters probably have different ways to address their marines as well as marines from other chapters. It probably depends on the marine in question aswell.

Thatguy's response is the one I've seen most commonly. Brother-sergeant and whatnot seem to be the prevailing choice amongst the writers I've read.

I agree, it's usually "Brother" followed by some sort of rank ie. Brother Sergeant, Brother Captain, or in some cases with custodes Brother General.
They're all brothers on the battlefield, I doubt any would refer to each other as sir unless it's a chapter master or something like that.
Same thing with Sororitas, they refer to each other as brother and sister, it's a family!

From what i have heard and read in SM lore they call the each other by the term "Brother" but you raise a good point i have heard frist hand, in the PS2 fire warrior game, that when they talk to a marine of a higher rank they will call them by the rank and brother such as "Brother Sargent" or "Brother commander" but in the way of a chapter master being addressed id think they would call him "lord" or "master" in a medevil fashion just as back during the time of the knightly orders of Eroupe would refer to each other as "Brothers"

All Space Marines are battle brothers and refer to others like this to.
Only difference being Chapters and ranks.

Apparently, before and during the Heresy, Astartes from different legions called one another cousins (rather fitting). Not sure if that's still the case though. But within a Chapter, I'm sure that Astartes call each other by their names if they're on familiar terms and are off-duty, since technically speaking, they are genetic brothers after all, since they are the genetic sons of their Primarch. And Sororitas are called Sisters, since well, Astartes are genetic grandsons of the Emperor, while the Sororitas are, in their own eyes, the spiritual daughters of the Emperor, so it's also kinda fitting.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

I've never heard that the only similar piece of fluff I can say off hand is when the Custodes call the Word Bearers Brother and Friend before they kill each other in First Heretic
Where did they say cousins? I like it personally but haven't seen any examples of it, but I'm not an expert

I got it from the short story Savage Weapons, with both Dark Angels and Night Lords calling one another cousins. Logically, I assumed that other legions did the same.

Their chapters may of just been closer to each other.
