Round one of a three round tourny in ABQ. I bring out my Sisters to show the non-believers the power of faith.

This battle shows us taking the holy flame to Brian's Blood angels

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen

Nice report. Prediction for 6 months from now is SoB will be called broken as more people will keep winning with them....

I have been liking the way mine have been playing. They are more competative than my SM.

Love it when you make those 6++'s. The cries of cheese come shortly after.

@Inquisitor_Dunn: I think they will continue to be underrated, but those in the know will do well with them.

They aren't as bad as people make them out to be, but as people learn to play them more, they won't be as "tough". Its like any other army, if you never played it before, your chances to win slim dramatically as "surprises" pop up. The hew SoB dex certainly isn't as good as the old one, but it isn't bad either.

I've been wanting to get a game in against your SOB Jordon, I know what the new 'dex is capable of, and need some redeeming from the last time (also my first time) playing SoB where I got trounced due to old H&R seraphim lol.

Really people becoming familar with them is kind of what I fear. When it gets around what they all can do it will become harder to get the drop on people.

It's not like I don't tell people what their acts of faith do.

The first 15 mins of every game is spent explaining what every single unit in my army does. I consider holding a seminar for them at the start of every tourny. haha.

They will always be surprising tho as I don't play them often and no one else in the state plays them either so no one gets practice against them. Knowing is half the battle.

Conversely, its easy to be told about Rending heavy flamers, its much different when 4 of them show up outside your clumped up deep strikers.

This is how I feel, I played SoB for 3 years and I had a set spiel I would give about Faith, BoSL, etc. Now with Daemons it is "okay, so theyre all eternal warriors and have invuln save..."

I have been looking at the heavy flamer retributors. I have 4 heavy flamers painted and not being used due to their cost. But rending might make them wurth 20 points a pop. My problem is I like 2 exorcists and I like the HB rets...

May I say a word to the Blood Angels player after seeing a trend in battle reports lately? Storm Ravens are a waste of points. Every Blood Angels army I've seen in a batrep lately has had 2 of them and their destruction heralded a hard loss.

I've started getting that already around the FLGS (I'm the only SoB player... though now some bandwagon players want to play them... over their space wolves, lol.

I double 6 invul saved on my rhino to contest an objective, last week in a league game everyone was watching... jaws dropped and the other player sat there for about a minute dumbstruck that the game ended in a tie... (I was getting soundly rolled to to razor back spam,....). That alone made a few people call 'cheese' and 'overpowered'... lol.

Honestly Doubleraven is a very good build... I run it myself and have not lost yet *knock on wood*. Its all strategy, but in the end, a Raven-build is solely based around brute force and a bit of luck!

Then you have loads of luck. However, I've been on the receiving end of the DOA Blood Angels build, and it's almost a guaranteed winner.

A good raven build has support of other fast units, and DoA squads. You're guarenteed at least 24" across the board if your reserved, meaning you should at least get 1 melta shot per raven off. If they knock em down, all is well, cuz they should be filled with uber deadly stuff and already being halfway up the board means you should get to SOMETHING. Backed by speeders, predators, and DoA Squads, you can get an alpha strike every game if you play your cards right. The luck portion of it really boils down to how well you roll on reserves!

Yeah, its a good build. It didn't matter that I shot them down. The only reason I won that game was because I had death cult.

People call cheese on the 6++. They need to call cheese on 15pts deathcult

I have never had anyone ever call cheese on my 6++ invulnerable save of uselessness....

DCA though are undercosted by a pretty good margin.

Not to mention my 3rd opponent didn't believe any of their powers and called BS after every move I made. It got really annoying

That is the most annoying part with playing Sisters. They are so rare that opponents often think you are 'cheating' because they are surprised at what they can do. It it not as bad with the new sisters due to the changed nature of Faith.

I feel your pain. I have been all but blacklisted in my FLGS, I have had to start moving from store to store to find games or calling and pre-arranging a game with some of the other local competitive players .

That is funny Spiddey. Not that you are blacklisted, but that people are thinking that way of SoB.

I think its sad actually, and frustrating. I don't list tailor or bring crazy spam lists. I always take a standard All-Comers list that I would take to a torney and I just play/roll dice. I feel like I'm clubbing baby seals sometimes. I'm not sure what it is, but I had a guy tell me people just get tired of getting the snot beat out of them and that I should bring another army in.

In my experience, the Sisters continue to be a tough faction (even with the White Dwarf Codex).
