Does anybody know what the Knight Warden from Epic a while back's background was like? I've found some information relating to the other classes of Knight, but the Warden remains a mystery to me.
I'd like to have a go at converting some Knights up, and there's a fairly cool rendition of the Warden here: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xk34z6urTZY/TZs-XfeyuBI/AAAAAAAABSo/ElPLLOTSS0I/s1600/front02.jpg
They used to look something like this: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vFUbRcVxuqM/TXuYgHuDDfI/AAAAAAAABRo/7LmFnxptIPA/knightwarden.jpg

Any help you can give would be much appreciated

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

If memory serves, and it doesn't always, wardens were much more heavily armored than the other knight types and geared more towards defense and less towards flashy combat roles.

YMMV.

Cheers Striker, was thinking of doing one or two as fire support/bodyguard type units to fight alongside my baron, if that seems plausible according to the fluff?

Looks way to big to be a Bushwacker minie, unless the did a 40K scale Battletech I'm unawares of. Looking at it I think it could have been a Terminator 4 toy or a Starwars toy heavly converted and made dam cool becouse of it. Its a nice mech and a hell'va lot of love has been poored into it.

Certainly fits the fluff, but given that fluff is not a requirement in any given army list, I'd do it just because that converted model looks cool and it would be awesome to see some 40k scale knights that aren't the old armorcast eldar knights.

Whilst we're on the subject, anyone know anything about the 'Strider' Knight Titans?

Btw, Knights are not Titans.

Enlist as a virtual Ultramarine! Click here for my Chaos Gate (PC) thread.

"It is the great irony of the Legiones Astartes: engineered to kill to achieve a victory of peace that they can then be no part of."
- Roboute Guilliman

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

No, they're slightly smaller and organised differently, but sometimes supported the Titan legions in battle. But people often refer to them as 'Knight Titans'.

Here's the model my buddy and I use as Knights in our friendly games (I have three of them). They are die-cast figures from Mechwarrior Dark Age. I use them for 25mm battletech, so I never Grimdark-ed them up, but they would be a great platform to use.

Especially since they already have a "titan" close combat weapon and the "auto-cannon" is big enough to be a battle-cannon, hopper-fed and all!
Total size hits 6 inches to the top of the exhaust stacks.

What ARE knights?

Cause I have no ideas.

This is a signature. It contains words of an important or meaningful nature.

Essentially they are one-man titans. Just a pilot; no crew or servitors. Think of a Dreadknight, but twice the size so they can have weapons like a battlecannon mounted in the arms, and stomp on man-sized targets.
