Im just curious to know how well the lore will work in an army since my Khorne themed army will be using it (probably a lvl2, maybe two).

Flaming sword of ruin is one of he best spells in the game and on Halberd khorne warriors it is just OP

It's what I use when my sorcerer lord comes out to play (which is rare of late as I'm playing 2000 and running my level 0 DP). Flaming Sword and Flame Cage are flat out two of the best spells in the game, and the rest of the lore is decent, straight forward, easily cast and fills a gap in the WoC list (i.e. shooting things!)

Good to know. I originally wasn't going to run magic in the list since being the themed person I am, it just didn't feel right. But without even thinking about it, while I wrote the fluff (Basically the entire army's blood has turned to fire-- Thus, "The Conflagration of Forlorn Slaughter") it kind of just manifested in such a way that a Lore of Fire Sorcerer would actually fit in quite well.

I haven't played my Khorne army at all really in 8th, so while I'm talking about them... Is running all warriors still viable? I ran nothing but warriors in 7th and it worked great.
Although I'd probably throw in knights and chariots alongside a warshrine.

I think Heavens works a little better for WoC. Harmonic convergence works better on elite troops, gives you two solid magic missiles, and comet is a great way to deal with gunlines.

Heavens is only available to Sorcerer Lords. At lvl 2 the only alternatives to chaos magic is Death or Fire.

Fire is a very good choice imo, but when the ward items became prolific many just went straight trench for the ward save and casting bonus, think thats why a lot of people just take it as given all works are that mark.
Flaming sword as said is sick on pretty much anything.

As said flaming sword is awesome.
Also a lvl 1 or 2 throwing around a boosted fire ball is good.

I'm still going to stick with the Lore of Tzeentch. Call to Glory is improbably amusing.

Lot is great no question. Flickering fire, pandaemonium, gateway, treason and even call to glory can be super useful.
