um... my computer?

May be bit of a silly question, but I was wondering about the armor of a renegade SM force. Could you in fact just use regular SM models instead of the spiked out chaos ones? My idea is to have a renegade force not totaly emearsed in chaos, but still use the chaos sm codex and be lead by a daemon prince. Ideas? Contradictions?

Yep, that sounds entirely fine. Seen it done before, works very well

This is a signature. It contains words of an important or meaningful nature.

You managed that one. Led by Daemon Prince, and not fully embracing Chaos. There are renegade chapters however who haven't embraced the mutations of the ruinous powers. For the most fanatical of them the Iron Hands and their successors probably is the way to go, but you should scratch a certain demon them.

If you have nothing nice to say then say frakking nothing.

It makes more sense really.

I think 'newer' renegade chapters like the Red Corsairs would be better modelled with marine kits than CSM ones. Maybe a kitbash of both...

It would be a great idea! I'd love to see it.

I'm working on a Red Corsairs list that's primarily regulars, with some more chaos bits in the appropriate areas (possessed, for instance).

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do for obliterators...
