Hi guys. So I just got a set of Space Marine Bikes from my LGS. After waiting a month for the special order, I get them home and I'm having some trouble putting them together. My problems are:
-The are metal AND plastic, so getting the torso on the legs is is difficult, I have crazy glue but it doesn't seem to be working...
-The metal arms on the marines are back in order to grab the guns, and as such they cant fit the backpack on them. I have to sand them down but if i do it enough to make if fit i lose a lot of the thruster on the backpack...
-Basically it just doesn't fit together. The bike part was a snap to build, but now getting the metal torso to fit with the bike is a pain.

Does anybody have any advice? Has anybody else had this problem? I'm kinda thinking its because they're older models. Says 2002 on the box and there's no art on the cover.

Or is it the DA metal hybrids - which have been replaced by the plastic ravenwing sets now.

I think what you have is the metal 3 boys, one plasma, one melta, one sarg. You need to snip the thruster in the back enough to fit it on. I pin mine on the plastic leg so they don't fall off.

With some pinning and super glue, you are set. You can also pin the bike to the base so it is stronger attached.

Yeah, I agree with leohart, pinning is essential in these. they will break off otherwise.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I need to get some pins then I suppose. Is there another set of space marine bikes, or does every bike in say a white scars army come from these sets? Because these things could really use an update....

Those are the old set. The cheapest way to get bikes enmass are
1- Buy them from ebay
2- Buy the Ravenwing box

With these options you won't get the special weapons (melta, plasma,...) but you will get more pose choices. I am sure you have quite a few of those weapons lying around anyway.

Thanks for the advice fellas. I drilled out some holes and pinned the torsos. Was still a bit of stretch to get all the pieces together but it will do. I think i'll need to get some greenstuff as well to fill up the weird gaps.
