Hey guys, I'm getting back into the hobby, and am on a really tight budget, so I thought that If I were to start something new, it needed to be small. So I chose Mordheim as my new start. I want to do a Bretonnian warband to start off, and for the background I'm writing, I really need some information. So, to save me (and this forum) from having to create a thousand threads each time I have a new question, I decided to make one big thread in which I post all questions I have over time.

First of all, are there people living in Mordheim on a permanent basis? I was thinking about writing in a character that is actually born and raised there.

Yes, but after the Comet struck, they were all driven insane by the wyrdstone/destruction

The Sisters of Sigmar still hold out in their Abby, one of the few buildings still intact.
I think you may find some refugees mixed into the mercenary camps that sprang up outside the city walls.

For anyone just getting into Mordheim I recommend you glance at Coreheim, which balances a lot of the issues that metagamers found in the original rules.
Definitely a fun and flavorful setting though!
