Okay.

They're comparable but the dragon is bigger.
Spoiler:

Thank you, you rock!

People regularly pay $150+ for Knights, and the Dragon is easily comparable value, considering there are a half-dozen playable figs in there, to boot!

It is ridiculous that they are trying to keep this issue with the Spidicules legs so quiet. That probably means bad news, like the keeping quiet about the additional shipping charges for the expansions until the last minute.

They probably can't afford to send people the right legs.

More like they flat out don't have the legs to send.

Adam is taking names, and will have WGF run off an all new set of lefts and rights. Those will need to be packaged, and shipped to Adam for distribution to backers. I say, it's at least 2 months to resolve, but it's unclear, because it needs to find a slot in WGF's production schedule, and WGF is kinda busy ATM...

Still it would be helpful if Adam were to acknowledge the issue and provide some guidance.

In the mean time, your best bet is to find someone else to trade with, and spend the $3 in postage to ship it to someone else. Yes, it's another $3 out of pocket, but you get the part in a few days. That's what I did, and I now have a complete, correct set of Spidey legs.

Are there armor sprues in all of the expansions?

Also, where is the flower knight still $25? Is that for backers?

Armor sprues are only in the major expansions:
- Dragon King
- Gorm
- Spiducules
- Sunstalker
These also include some "bonus" figs, like the human form & Dragon people, Regen suit, Spiderlings, or Sun people, respectively.

Flower Knight is $60, I don't think you can get him for $25 from any of Adam's stores.

OTOH, the Green Knight armors (2) are $25.

A lot could've been avoided if the sprues had something else there to denote that they were different, other than a small detail on how the legs are shaped.

You know, something like an "A" on one, "B" on the other.

Even if he doesn't know when he'll be able to send replacements, he could at least let people know about the issue. A lot of people probably don't know it's an issue and will try to put the model together with the wrong legs. Especially since we still don't have any build instructions.

Is there any significant difference between the legs besides the attachment "key"? Would it be possible to either file it down, or remove it altogether then glue the leg directly to the body?

Yes, people have already successfully assembled them using a little bit of greenstuff. The actual legs look nearly identical. I found somebody on BoardGameGeek to swap with via mail, cost $3.14 to send first class in a sturdy box.

The proportions and angles are very slightly different between the 4 legs. Now why the left and right sides weren't digitally cleaned to use identical legs in each position from front to rear, with identical keys, I have no idea. It would have saved him tooling cost simply by throwing 2x "rear legs" and 2x "front legs" into the box. Oh, well...

You could file them down and use epoxy putty to gap fill / resculpt.

So, what is the deal with lanterns in the fluff? What is their significance? The answer might affect how I model my armor kits.

I just want to be extra sure before I trade this stuff away that this is everything that was supposed to come in the Dragon King expansion. There is the book, two cardboard sheets of punch outs, a bagged gear card and armory, and three sealed card decks. Is that correct?

Which isn't helpful unless I open the wrapped stacks of cards and count the individual smaller decks. I just want to know if other backers received the same packaged materials. Plus I am not invested enough in the game to know which objects are the card separates or the settlement locations, or whatever. I just want to make sure I'm not accidentally short changing someone who does care about the game mechanics.

From what I understand, there's no day in the world of kingdom death. It's always night and most of the world is in constant darkness. Magically powered lanterns seem to be relatively common and can be found in great hoards, which is good as they are the only reliable source of light and heat (though living near a lantern hoard can have its downsides). If you find yourself without a lantern, you're blind and helpless.

It's a highish level nemesis that replaces the king's man unless I've been misinformed. I haven't fought one yet so can't comment on the actual rules, but I don't like the king's man fight so that'd be a plus, but it's also a late nemesis so less likely to come up much which isn't great. I'd buy a quarry over it.

What do my fellow Dakkanauts recommend for plastic glue? I just bought a bottle of Plasti-Zap and I have had absolutely no luck with it so far. I'm kind of at the end of my rope here, my Phoenix Dancer, one of my favorite models, just will NOT stay on with super glue, she's come off her base at least four times.

These kits are polystyrene, so a hot glue is standard. Testors orange gel is the classic, and likely the strongest. There are liquid cements as well, but generally more delicate.

And of course, you can always pin the foot into the base.

I've been using Tamiya plastic glue with the green cap- I managed to get the White Lion together with no gaps.

I would definitely recommend Polystyrene Cement for all polystyrene kits! Preferably with a precision applicator (i.e. a thin metal tube that comes out of the bottle). Not sure about US brands.

This is the nicest combo of good plastic cement and precision applicator I have used:

Testor's Model Master Plastic Cement Glue w/Applicator

I don't know the best place to buy it, so show around as glue prices can vary wildly. My local Walmart is actually cheaper on Gorilla Super Glue than Amazon in bulk, confusing as that is.

The standard Orange Tube Testors plastic cement is also good, but plan on squirting it out on a ceramic or glass tray and using a needle etc to apply it so you don't over do it on tiny bits. It does melt the plastic so getting too much on causes a lot of issues.

Plastic cement all the way. super glue or plastic glue are both a waste.

I have just given up on the idea that "a moderate amount" will ever have the proper meaning to me and plan to have way too much forever

dumb question,

but you didn't try superglue first did you?

if you did there will be a layer of it on the plastic that whatever plastic cement you then tried won't get through

I did, but I filed it to try to get it off. Perhaps I should try filing it a bit more? Miraculously, my Forsaker pin-up actually seems to be holding.

Edit: On an unrelated note, I though of something that bothers me. Spidicules (mild) spoilers:
Spoiler:
It says you suffer his vengeance from beating him. So... We hack a gak-load of chunks (resources) out of him, then he runs away and abducts someone? It seems a bit odd. Especially if you cut off all his legs and roll his living ball of a body back to your settlement.

Yeah, we ran into that surprise. We thought it was kinda' obnoxious, confusing, weird that it was automatic, and hand no flavor text. Just... not well-executed. Felt like a defeat punishment or a nemesis-style "gotcha", not an occurrence on a low-level quarry.

Looks like on BGG some folks in the US are reporting the expansions from the sale are already shipping. Must've ironed out some of the kinks during wave 3.

I think it means that Adam has completed backer shipping, and is now moving on to first retail customers.

Congrats!

That just leaves fixes and Lantern Festival, which I assume Adam was hoping will arrive while retail shipping is underway, so he can continue to leverage the logistics team.

Nobody in the EU seems to have got tracking numbers so that's not a surprise,

Did you get your shipping payment in within the 24hour window?

If you did i'm surprised that nothing has arrived yet and it may be worth contacting them

if you didn't remember that the warehouses were not going to be able to complete shipping of those people who missed the deadline before they had to move onto other job(s), and were then going to come back and complete the KS shipping late (I have a vague memory of 'at the end of march' but that might be my imagination) so I'd give it another 2-3 weeks before panicing
