I've been playing Infinity for a while now, and for those of your that don't know what it is it's a great sci-fi skirmish game. It is, in fact, the best sci-fi skirmish game I've ever played. It's fast paced and has some great rules. Fortunately it has some great fluff and artwork too, that's a nice change from the dark gothic of other games.
I picked the Yu Jing for my faction. Yu Jing is a oriental (Mainly consisting of the former Peoples Republic of China that has incorporated Japan, Korea, Thailand etc into their empire; Yu Jing) super power and eternal rival of the other super power Pan Oceania. Altough the factions in Infinity isn't clear cut black and white, good or evil in Infinity, Yu Jing certainly has a degree of "the ends justify the means" mentality and they want to be number one in the Human Sphere, which is the part of the universe occupied by man, and will do anything to reach their goal.
First up are three Zhanshi troopers.
These guys are standard chinese line troopers. They have avarage stats and are fairly cheap and are equipped with the standard Combirifle.
They are good to have around however, because every model in your squad provides and order that you can use to activate figures as you will.
That said Infinity is a very well balanced game and given the chance these guys CAN wreak some havoc!
They were also the first ones I painted and was the test models for the colour scheme I went with. In part inspired by pictures of ancient chinese infantry soldiers in yellow uniform (yellow being symbolic for the Emperor) and partly inspired by Cerberus in Mass Effect
Next up is a Celestial Guard Trooper.
This guy is also a line trooper of a slightly more elite fashion than the Zhanshi. The Celestial Guard are part of the Imperial Secret Service police force and he has some slightly higher stats and
BTS (bio technical shield) than the Zhanshi. He can also be a very decent hacker and provide the force with some infowar capabilities.
This is a Domaru Butai heavy infantry. This japanese high tech samurai has good stats and good armor value and two wounds from the powered armor she is wearing. She can be hard to control at times and is geared towards close combat. Now, Infinity is a very shooty game and close combat is often not worth it. She armed with a boarding shotgun however so she also packs a shooty punch.
Last but not least is the Shang Jí Invincible.
Another heavy infantry the Shang Jí has good
BS, armor and great
BTS. He is fairly straightforward and doesn't have any special abilities or rules but he packs a punch with his Combirifle/light flamethrower combo and is quite survivable (although certainly not invincible
). He can also serve as the Lieutenant.
This game also needs a large amount of terrain. A heebyjeeby large amount.
So I've also scratch built some terrain and bought some items on Tradera (Swedish ebay) and now I have a respectable amount of terrain.
You can view the rest of the terrain in the terrain gallery:

Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.
