How does everyone else use their Ghost Arks effectively?

is it better to:

a - keep it by the home objective, popping off lance shots from the Cryptek that is bound to be on board? That way it can hodl an objective by itsefl and/or buff any other nearby warriors squads also holding objectives.

b - move it up field fring off broadsides and supporting a footslogging warriros squad who wades up and tried to steal objectives?

A- Lance-tek gunboat.

The only way I'd take it for the Repair function is if I was running a unit of 20 Warriors lead by a Phaeron... which is rare, for me.

So you woudl suggest running multiple courts to get at least 2 lance-teks in the Ark, correct?

I use two in almost every battle... since I usually run a fairly mechanized force. I use them to create firing lanes, forcing my enemy to shoot their anti-infantry guns against my Armor 13, (which is so easy to get a cover save is isn't even funny). I also use them to shield my infantry units (or wraiths, C'Tan, scarabs, etc...) giving them a covers save (layers of cover)

Having those AV13 walls all around the battlefield becomes even more awesome as the game progresses, because you're able to isolate enemy STR 8+ firing and eliminate it... increasing your lifespan.

As far as synergy with your list... I have used them to support big blob warrior units, but I find I'll usually throw 5-8 warriors in there with a cryptek or two and have a nice 6" moving 36" range gun of vehicle popping happiness.

I have admittedly never run a lance-tek court and threw them in there, but I'd have to assume it'd be incredible. Especially if paired with a Triarch Stalker, but now we're building lists, not talking Ghost Ark. lol

Maybe i could do both. Move a warriors squad up field with the Ark providing cover/support. It can move 6" and still fire lances so pop a 5 man unit wityh lanceTeks in there as well.

Floating wall of AV13 sith S8 guns.....with 10 rapid firing Gauss guns behind it.

i ahve used it in a last minute 12" dash to grab an objective before, my opponent assumed it moved the same as the monolith and didn't think it coudl move the full 12".
