Hello

Have decided to wipe the dust off my Silver Skulls Space Marine army after pre-ordering the new Storm Talon and what better motivation than starting up a log

Just started making my x2 attacks bikes and two heavy bolter turrets for my razorbacks.

Once everythings made i can start priming them and get painting.

Great work! But can I suggest that you swap the Company Champion and the Captain with Relic Blade & Storm Shield because I love the Captain and his pose is so more epic

This stuff is exquisitly painted, and I especially like the use of Forge World and LotD models and pieces to expand into the feel of the SS. Well done.

No problems there primed with army painter plate steel, a layer of privateer press pig iron, wash with badab black (or whatever it is now) then dry brush pig iron.

Helmets are then layered with mithril silver.

For the vehicles I use black oil washes as it covered large areas better

They are super smooth for drybushing! I'm looking forward to updates on this blog. I don't normally like silver marines (I'm looking at you Grey Knights) but yours look really good.

On a different note used GW's new replacement for badab black wash last night (something oil??) whislt painting the attack bike side car, its far darker than badab black and needs to be used sparingly (so a friendly warning for people

)

Sorry for lack for replies been really busy over bank holiday period.

Have managed to finish x2 attack bikes (multi-melta is magnetised)

Also received the new stormtalon in the post today (along with 5 more tactical terminators) so might try & make it later on today, with a few modifications as currently it looks like a flying box.

Oh & im still not feeling the love for Nuln Oil, doesnt flow as good as badab black damn you GW

As the weather was crap yesterday i managed to finish the Terminator Chaplain apart from a few little bits - dont think he'll see much action but i love the mini

Maybe its the lighting but I love the darkness of the armour. Rather nice compared to the "official" Eavy Metal paintjob with the glossy black.

I've never seen Silver Skulls scout marine squads before. in DoW series. Scouts seems to wear khaki uniforms underneath a carapace armor. EVERY chapter.
Is there any official materials saying that what should a painting acheme for Silver Skulls scouts be? if so. tell me the name of the said materials please
