I may be posting this on the wrong website for this kinda stuff, but I hope there are some people interested in helping me with my search...

Anyway, I'm in a Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition campaign with some friends, and none of us have miniatures specifically for our characters. I'm the only member of the group who's into miniatures, so I'm interested in painting a model that could represent my character well. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything yet that has made me think "Perfect!". The closest I've come is with Games Workshop's Prince Althran (shown below), a High Elves hero. It's a nice model, but not exactly what I'm looking for.

So that's where anyone willing to aid me in my mad quest comes in!

My character is a male Vryloka (vampire subtype) Warlord (commander-fighter class). Here are the specifics that I'm looking for:

Species: Human (Elf or vampire both acceptable as alternatives)

Weaponry: Sword and shield

Armor: Chainmail, scalemail, or plate. Any mixture of the three would be welcome. However, no helmets!

Accesories: (preferably) Long cape, possibly a tabard as well

Pose: As if the figure were shouting encouragement, or leading others into battle. The Prince Althran figure is a decent reference point.

Face and hair: As long as the face isn't misshapen-looking, it could work, though a 'handsome' face would be ideal. Hair can be anywhere between a close cut to long and flowing...but no ponytails or spikes, please!

Proportions: It's a lot to ask for with miniatures, but as long as nothing is TOO large or small compared to real life, I'll be fine with it.

That's a large list of requirements, but I hope it will help anyone who does want to search. Thank you, anyone, in advance!

Check out reaper minis - they have quite a good selection of fantasy models and even have a dedicated pathfinder line which may have what you want.

Meh, personally I don't like custom minis in DnD. It would just make me feel that much worse when I'm embarrassingly murdered by carrion crawlers.

you may find something in Dark Sword Miniatures "Masterworks: Elmore" line. Certainly worth taking a look.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." There are a few others from them that might work, if you don't mind a bit of conversion. Truthfully, you'll be hard pressed to find exactly what you want without some sort of custom work.

Hope these help.

I second Dark Sword Miniatures, but you might also want to look at their other lines. Especially the Song of Ice and Fire line: you might fancy Sir Loras or Jamie Lannister figurines to represent your own.

Gathering the Informations.

Personally, I'm looking at converting a Vampire Count using this GW model as the basis:

Bulk up the hands or make them appear to be very ornate gauntlets intended to look like bone, replace the head with one from a Vampire--voila!

If you're up for it though, hunt around on eBay or Amazon or at independent shops for the "Blood Dragon with Sword and Shield" set for the GW Vampire Counts line.

That is the "On Foot" version, and it also includes a Mounted version with the same shield and a lance instead.

Try not to bring the edition wars where they aren't wanted.

Sigvald has been an on-and-off temptation, because as you noted, he fits quite a bit of what I'm looking for. Thanks for bringing him to mind again, because his proportions are incredible for a miniature...
