Tony Kopatch took both the Open and the Invatational with his SW/IG list. Not sure of what's in his list but it did include Njal Stormcaller and a 50 guardsman blob.

It's honestly going to take a while to get up the army totals. Things got gritty on the staff front once we got close.
People are welcome to help by plugging in where they know.
I can tell you the top 16 for the competitive sort (top bracket) in the GT, from my knowledge, looked like this
1. Tony Kopach - IG/SW, entirely foot, Njal inclusive
2. Nick Nanavati - Daemons ... screamer/flamer spam with plague bearer troops and winged dp + fatey
3. Jeremy Veysseire - Sisters of Battle w/ Celestine
4. Kurt Clauss - Hybrid flyer/wraith/scarab necron with light troops
5. Kyle Cox - Mech Guard w/ Nob Bikers
6. Ryan Deane - Eldar/DE, inclusive of 2 Talos and a Cronos
7. Neil Gilstrap - Pure ish flyer spam Necron w/ 18 wraiths
8. Aaron Aleong - GK/IG I believe
9. Logan Valentine - Paladins w/ Necrons
10. Eric Hoerger - Similar to Kurt's list (#4), inclusive of Zandrekh
11. Bill Souza - Mech guard
12. Jeremy Chamblee - Necron / Ork
13. Andy Kopach - GK/Necron with scythes and ravens
14. Rich Therkorn - Sisters w/ Celestine and I think some marine support
15. Pete Daze - SW, transport heavy, no flyers
16. Nick Caruso - Can't for the life of me remember
Pretty huge variety of list style in the top 16

Several Tyranid players almost made the top. On a personal level, I strongly, strongly believe Psychic heavy but also model heavy Tyranid are exceptional in this edition, regardless of FOC/ally limitations, and only need be given the opportunity to shine by someone bringing an appropriately tuned list. Despite that not occurring, several moderately tuned lists did attend and did fairly well, including competing in the upper 3-1 brackets.

Looking for great deals on miniatures or have a large pile you are looking to sell off? Checkout Mindtaker Miniatures.

If he pops on, he can explain his choices. I know he played against:
- Draigowing game 1 (poor draigowing)
- Mech IG/Drop Pod Marines game 2
- Mech GK/Guard game 3
- BA/SM Drop game 4
- Unknown game 5
- Jeremy (Necrons/Orks) game 6
- Tony Kopach game 7.

With the exception of the introduction of sisters (which given their relative cost and focus on low ap voluminous shooting isn't too surprising) it looks like sixth editions top table meta is turning into fifth editions top table tourney meta only with the top table armies allying into eachother to grab eachothers most cost effective units. Given the even more reduced efficacy of assault in sixth and the fact that most dominant armies before were very shooting heavy it actually makes a lot of sense that the new meta is just a remixed version of the old. The previous best books were the most cost effective shooting books, the points values didn't change.

This list terrifies me as a player that uses a lot of assault marines.

Huh, I see Sisters, Demons, Njal (who as we know is a regular now in the top list) and a Dark Eldar prime army that included both Talos and Chronos all in the top 6, and further evidence when people generally use the word "competitive" its really slang for "my not objectively test pre-conceived notions."
Oh and not too mention Fennel's list, which most people would scoff at as well...Huh...funny that.
