You'll have a hard time against termies. I may I suggest that the raven isn't very good as a gunboat, Plus I don't think falchions is worth it. I honestly believe you can spend points elsewhere like a dreadknight . Good to see the cannons in the rhino.

I personally feel that 1500 points is too low to run Purifiers and that Purifiers aren't that great anymore in 6th edition. I feel like you could get more bodies if you used Strikes. That's just my opinion since I know how quickly Purifiers drop.

The raven is there to transport the purifiers and kill other flyers it can also take out pretty heavy tanks with the MM, but do you think that the lascannon will be better than the assault cannon.
Your probably right about terminators but i find if i thin them down with weight of fire they seem to be less effective, what will help improve this situation?

How have purifiers gotten worse in 6th edition?

alright kinda need him for purifier lists

Purifiers/ 5 man, 2 psycannons - 140
I still say give them a rhino if they camp back, I mean if there is no objective they can still move around, and if it is objectives you can just jump out turn 5-ish

Purifiers/ 10 man, 4 psycannons, 5 falchions, 1 swords, psybolt – 325
Rhino/ hunter killer missile – 50
falchions are not worth it, change them all to halberds (even on KoF) and give a random guy a hammer. and I dont like psybolt ammo on purifiers when 4 of them have cannons... its like buying it for a 5 man squad... not worth it! also drop the HKM off the rhino, costs too much IMHO for a single shot weapon, and its always bound to miss

Purifiers/10 man, 4 psycannons, 5 halberds, 1 sword, psybolt – 312
even if these guys jump in the raven I'd still try to buy them a rhino for versatility. also get a hammer on a random guy and drop psybolt ammo.

Storm raven/ MM, AC, hurricane bolters, psybolt - 255
I dunno, I really dont like hurricane bolters and psybolt on ravens :/ , I prefer TL LC or PC and TL MM. though if you wanna keep them like this I'd get the crusader like this

Psyrifle man – 135
Psyrifle man – 135
good stuff

The game has shifted more towards Shooting than Assault now to start off. Purifiers are also really expensive for what they do. They can't go to ground, and there are no more fearless wounds so its difficult to simply Cleansing Flame a large horde away and then force them to take more saves once they lose combat.

Purifiers die like Marines also (this has always been an issue) and they always have very few bodies on the board. Now all lists need to have Anti Flyer elements or Flyers in them in order to work. Before it was easy to spam 40ish Purifiers and some Psyfleman Dreads, but having to throw a Stormraven into the mix drops how many Purifiers can be taken. Also 5 man squads of Marines aren't as good as they used to be in 5th.

Ok here is a revised list where i added some more transports and took out the not recommended features. thanks for the replies.

Castellan Crowe – 150
Purifiers/ 5 man, 2 halberd, 1 hammer, 2 psycannons – 140
Rhino - 40
Purifiers/ 10 man, 4 psycannons, 1 MC halberd, 4 halberds, 1 hammer – 300
Rhino – 40
Purifiers/10 man, 4 psycannons, 5 halberds, 1 hammer – 295
Razorback/ psybolt – 50 (for Crowe)
Storm raven/ MM, PC - 205
Psyfleman – 135
Psyfleman – 135
Total 1499

I liked the idea of the raven with a plasma cannon which will also help me with terminators, i also added in the razorback so Crowe will be a bit more safe on the board now. I also jazzed up the smaller squad and took psybolt off all te purifiers.

I ran a similar list yesterday and go my butt stomped. This is what I think I did wrong. First I took an SR w/o hurricane bolters and man did I miss those things would have been so helpful in all my games. Also the Psyrifle dreads never seems to do much in any of my games. I would at the very least consider swaping 1 form a Psyflame dread. You can have it be carried by the SR then Drop it right in the middle of the enemy without having to worry about it being shot up along the way too much.

Well it all depends on who you are going against really. Psyfle dreads are meant to be anti air, which in this case flyers are competitive in 6th ed. Not so many tanks or mech in 6th. Unless you are playing 2000+ points then i would say hurricanes and psybolt would be necessary. Even IF you choose to not transport any units in the raven and just use it to hide behind cover and shoot at things i still think its way to expensive in a 1500 list. Necron tesla will make aegis armor look like flak armor lol. So my point is for a 1500 point list, spending points on something thats bound to get shot down is not worth in IMHO.

Also, i don't think purifiers are as good as they were in 5th. I think GKSS are the way to go in 6th. I still think you need some kind of bulk of your army. I've seen really really competitive lists with mordrak bomb for 1500-1850 range.

As for the psyflame dread @ Enochi i think that could spark up a wholeeee neww trend in future lists for GK.

Ehh Purifiers are IMHO the way to go. Im scared of orks and orks are scared sh*tless when you field purifiers. im actually running a list very similar to this in an upcoming doubles tournie.
