So there you have it. Thats my rough draft for a (nurgle) iron warriors army list. Nurgle because its a great competitive mark, and iron warriors because i like their fluff and the look of the army. So my Lord will go with my terminators uprooting tough scoring units (not other terminators) and possibly a vehicle if viable and necessary. My cultists will go to ground on near side objectives, while my marines will get to the hotter far side stuff. the helldrakes are for anti air (vector strike) and anti infantry. The vindicator is for anti-teq. And my Defiler will fire off the battlecannon at scoring units and walk up the field to get into assault. the obliterators will probably fill a different role every game.. based on the army.

So what do you all think?

VotLW for the Lord isnt so great... It only applies if you are fighting mahrens... but for the others it is good (+1 Ld) 2 Helldrakes are cool, but i would leave one with the autocannon (anti-air)... Oblits are cool, vindicator is awesome, defiler is good... You have lots of cultists... Do Iron Warriors use cultists? Im not actually sure... So I won't say if they do or don't

They dont use cultists perse, but that make extensive use of slaves. Which is what I'm going for.

My dad plays Grey Knights and I would say about 1/3 of my games(till I start competing) are against him. And I've attended (not participated in) 1 local tourney, and it seemed about 50% marine of one sort or another. Which is normal from what i understand.

I plan on using vector strike for anti air. Along with my obliterators. So if there are so many fliers in an enemy army that all of that wont reasonably deal with them.... well then I think ill have a pretty big problem weather or not i include 1 more hades autocannon. lol. (I'm aware of the seemingly more common vandetta/ valkarie/ nightscythe spam) I'll probably just have to playtest that one.

Really I just want to stomp my dad's (or any grey knights) paladin squad with the vindicator. That would just tickle my heart to see all those multi wound teqs getting insta gibbed turn one.

Well then... why not take 2 vindicators? Yeah, i dunnoe about helltallons, coz I havent actualy seen them play yet and you do have a good point about it being 50% MeQs... but its gonna be that other 50% that kicks your butt if you arent ready for it (thats how i win with me DE... I make a list as different to marines as i can )
