I really enjoy working with plastic over metal or finecast. That's why I whipped up this very simple Plastic Abaddon for my Chaos Chosen Army.

Here's what you'll need to build it:
1) Chaos Lord Box Set (You could buy all of the bits separately, but I don't mind having the extra gubbins around so I bought the whole box)
2) A Terminator Stormbolter
3) Bloodletter Rider Sword from the Bloodcrushers Box Set
4) Chaos Terminator Trophy Rack from the Chaos Terminator box set ( you can use the racks that come in the Lord Box, but I didn't like those as much.)
5) Top knot from the Chaos Knights (Fantasy) box set (again, you could snip and use any top knot. I had this laying around and I thought it worked perfectly.)

Please feel free to give suggestions or comments. I label this conversion under "quick" and "easy." This takes ZERO putty work and the only hobby intensive thing you have to do is shave down the lightning claw.

Happy Building!

Sweet! might try that myself sometime!

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

Actually, Id reccomend some filler around the joint of the stormbolter & claw, or more precise shaving...its pretty easy to tell its 2 separate pieces.

Otherwise its a great kitbash, nice job.

Whats my game?

You guys make a solid point. However, the pictures contrast does make it seem more dramatic then it actually is.

I think I'll use some liquid green stuff on those areas before I prime it.

Thank you for your input!

Looks quite good. I'd drill out the Bolter barrels, though.

LOL, I did the nearly the same thing, except using two bolters mashed together instead of the stormbolter and the trophy rack from the Chaos Demon kit.

I throw a pic up of the painting in progress when I get the chance.

I think most people would forgive the lack of loincloth if i meant Abaddon keeps his arms attached for more then a single battle.

Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

I like it , looks like Abaddon to me. Now you have to paint it.

I have had an old metal Abby sitting on my desk primed for months and haven't worked up the nerve to paint him. I really dislike the metal model for him. Maybe I should look into doing something like this.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss
