The bob cuts are horrible, don't do that.

Wimples and/or hoods would be great. Or shorn heads.

Yes bob cuts for not sisters!

Or both, heads are small.

Except the bob cuts are the worst part of the GW sisters - of all of the elements, it's the worst thing to ape.

DF doesn't even need to copy.

Just shaking my head here.

They're also rather distinctive, and yet not copyrightable. So a good thing to help sell kits, regardless of one person's aesthetic taste. Besides, if one person likes them, you and they cancel one another out just like that.

Actually, from a Militaristic Point of View (PoV), bob cuts means ease f helmet use for female units wearing power armor helmets, or any helmet, or they would need to tuck and pin their hair for helmet use as hair would stop a good seal from taking place, and the helmets and masks even for the GW SoB's took that into account. May look ugly, but it has practicality in mind.

Statuesques' heads have pretty nice hairdos. A few bobs in the lot might not be too bad.

But they are not any trooper they are the militant arm of the Eccliasary, they have also propaganda function to fulfill. And Bob-cuts give that stoic look.

SoB have to use bleach or a severe dye as they seem to go Black hair or white hair. I would think red, the Imperiums' favorite color would also be acceptable.

Eisenkern females would likely just go brown/black/chestnut/blonde/normal redhead/strawberry blonde.

Redheads are best heads. Though in 40k's fluff I suppose that would say to the Grey Knights "hey, we're full of blood...you know...in case there's demons around" so I can see why they'd go with neutral tones.

I'm ambivalent on the idea of female val'kir heads. I mean, sure as an accessory option I guess they wouldn't be bad to pad out a hypothetical sprue, but that armor seems so bulky and with the masks and helmets who knows what's underneath anyway? I realize that makes the head more important to establish that it's a woman, but with after-market options I'm not sure it wouldn't be more betterer for Mark to partner with someone else for those random bits so he can focus on the big deliverables (Shadokesh, Hover StuG, etc.). It'd be nice if he could get the parts more tailored to the models themselves though rather than slapping in something intended for Guard/Sisters and hoping it looks ok. Certainly a place for small resin/metal bits to add character/flavor to the models; not everything needs to be in HIPS especially if it's kind of a "niche-within-a-niche" (wherein market research would clearly be otiose-within-otiose).

Yeah, I just was making clear, the women serving in the military with me were either cutting their hair to the page boy, pixie or whatever regs allowed, or pinning it up so their hats and helmets would be able to be more effective, as well as the way Gas masks seal. Totally bald for either gender was consider too elaborate a hair style. it had to be between 1/16th of an inch to 3 inches for men. Women had more leeway. Some kept their hair about shoulder length or just shortened it more. Practicality, which is what I see with Marks Lady troopers. I will make me some mix, a box of the Panzerjaegers and more stormies for a mixture, as they got the helms/masks the older Fallschirmjaegers were to have had.

Just my 2 cents, but I love the SoB bob cuts. It just happens to be a style I'm rather fond of. I often encourage my wife to sport such a cut, as it looks rather nice on her (though her hair is dirty blond, not black). She usually likes it longer though :(

I think that GW is also trying to evoke the page-boy/squire kinda of look, or maybe something monastic-esque, by their use of this style with the SoB. Though also let's consider that SoB have only had two releases, the original and then just a little bit of new stuff with the Witchhunters codex. If they ever get a new release, it's an opportunity to change, add to, or redesign the line.

Just finished my Panzer Fraus (or whatever they're called) fun kit, needs more diversity in the arms though.

Lots of work matching pairs of arms to get the same 'holding gun across the body pose' 10 times. Would have likes some way to do a slung rifle, pointing, waving, aiming a pistol etc.

Now sure why it came with 3 sets of extra legs though. I think arms are so much more useful.

Also looked at the APC and... Mark are you insane? Are you completely nuts?

I mean 2 sprues for the seated soldiers, each model in 6 or 7 parts including separate hands?

For a unit that will be inside the tank?

That is beyond...

I mean wow.

Not sure if I'm impressed with your dedication or horrified.

Each Eisenkern is a model unto itself. I am saving the seated troopers for other projects as I have several units of stormies made already.

Yes, I beleive Mark is insane with the level of detail he put into these kits. I have finally finished my 3 Apcs all in a different setup. The heavy troops are some of the best plastic kits I have seen. Mark I wish further success can't wait for the stug to come I need 3 of them also.

The accesory sprue that came with the stormtroopers works really well with the black widows kit. If you get more, use the upgrade kit with them. One of those boxes would give you enough variety to outfit a platoon of the girls with unique poses, gestures, and kits.

Should I ever get the Hanomag kit, I want to turn the seated Eisenkern into a speederbike squad. Should be pretty easy, give or take the speederbikes themselves.

(I'll probably use the mule bodies from the accessories kit along with some spare weapon bits, plasticard and gunpla wings and fins. I'll just get around to it sometime next decade.)

Has anyone tried this yet? I did think of it but was worried the male arms would make the women look like gorillas rather than guerillas.

But I still think there was real estate on the female sprue that could have been better used on arms.

It's not a huge thing, IMHO it moves the kit from 5 stars to 4, but I wanted to throw that out.

Consider it confirmed The arm size is the same, the only arm that may be a tad too long is the 45 degree angle arm if you rotate it down to the side. With a small bit of trimming it will work as well. The arm selection for the ladies is the same as the male. Hip fired, shoulder fired and at the ready. The Stormtrooper accessory set was created to allow the modeler to make poses out side of those three selections.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Looking forward to it!

Mysterious hoods please!

And could let me know why the set has 3 extra sets of legs?

It just seems odd...

Two of the leg sets that are optional are kneeling, this pose is often an issue if players use true LOS. The males have these as extra/optional as well.

The other was so that you could choose a more static or more dynamic pose for the force as two of them are simply standing with weight transferred to the rear leg. This pose works well for the 'at the ready' arm but not so well for the other arm poses.

Well, Mark I have to say I have enjoyed all the kits so far, for the nose end of the 1st Hanomag, I went armored nose with the shield and adler crest
[/img]

The model went together nicely so far and I have hit the stage to pain the interior, and I think I will use an old interior buff coloration to go over the white primer here
[/img]

the "Buff" is on the left, Reaper calls it tusk ivory

I have on a few. Didn't do anything nuts, but a lot of the kit fits on them and the extra arms and hands look just fine on them. You really can't tell a difference and it took me a while to find which ones I did it to. As far as I can tell, the arms are the exact same length

Spoiler:

I do agree that the extra legs was kind of weird, It took me a good while to figure out that I hadn't put something together wrong after I found them on the sprue.
