The freehand griffin came out great. Presumably you aren't going to do it in everything, but the larger things deserve some iconography. Interesting choice with the green robe on the chappy, they are looking good. Have we nominated one as "Crush" yet?

thanks for the props on the dread (now!) he's quartered to an acceptable level and I did indeed freehand the Griffon symbol :-) came out o.k and easier for the larger things I used a gift from a good friend of a micron pen to draw it first then went over it with some paint and yellow around the edge!

Whaley, I hope you don't mind the green robe? I know it's the same as the GW version but I was thinking along the lines of 'Sharks' ocean, sea etc.? I'll be chucking some tribal on it to make it different for you as well :-)

Producing rather vivid memories of my Ex girlfriend today I had a rather large box stuffed to the brim full of random items show up on my door! I won't go into the full contents but lets just say you'd wonder how so much could fit! .....

one thing 'may' have been a Hordes Everblight starter wickedly cool models and while i'm yet to go through everything else that was in there they kinda stood out and i'm hoping you can help me figure them out what's the background of them? are they monsters/dragons/mutations? and where do they hail from? ice lands/ firey/ desert/ woodlands? are they squishy or hard ass? what colours are they normally represented with? i'm trying to figure out a way to paint them creatively with a solid theme

next week (yes Whaley it's a long way off it feels ) I'll do a quick (ha...quick) inventory of what's in the box! lots for me and a few VERY choice models for me to paint for Mr Whaley

I am no help on them. They were a freebee in my Adpeticon Swag bag this year and rather then trade them away, thought "Maybe Damo will like these". Only scheme I've seen em in is the one on the box, with is iceland-y.

Yeah I seem to see ice-ish ones around which could be a 'cool' theme!?

I think they're Icy indeed, but aside of that... They just look great IMHO !

Yeah they tend to be Icy/snow themed from what I've see. The minis are generally the box colours

yep, it's the start of Ramos' and I joint painting smackdown! both of us are pumped to get our Knight on! and all I can say to Ramos is! ....."Knighty Knight beeeeatch" I started today on the metals which is quite a lot of the model, I want to try and get a more aged battle worn effect like I'd imagine a glorious war machine of the Mechanicum would have!

but before I continue,my day started with a box..... well the box arrived from his travels last week but as you can see has been quite happy in the Nerd Lair.....

In this box was another box..... and in that box was....


GOODIES!!! lots of stuff for my FleshEaters as well as 3 more Primarch models to paint for that Dakka stalwart Whalemusic! and he was an absolute LEGEND with the stuff he threw in for myself like some Dev marines and Grey Knights and other game system models i'm gonna be set for at least a week lol. Also was the next chapter of the Space Sharks adventure, being a Landraider and a bunch of Termies! they're going to look so nasty vicious when I get them done!




and now it's the Knight of the living Knight! Knighty Knight Knights? Shanghai Knights? Sexy Knighties? Saturday Knight live? A midsommer Knights dream?

The metals on the knight looks excellent. As for the help with the ever light stuff I am at a loss, I never could get into warmahordes. Something about the style, which is strange as I'm a huge fan of the artists work in card games.

Now back to work or me and my fraternal order of knights may have to say THAT word to you. You know the word, last time someone failed to appease us there was a herring involved ets not have a repeat performance EH?

Looks like everything survived the trip pretty well! You may find some extra BA dread bits in there too.

Thanks guys, I like the metals so far, wanted an aged look so i've washed it with purples and blues and i'll wash with sepia and then re highlight and see how it looks! i've gotta try something different to keep pace with captain girly pants over there in Ramos' thread! :-)

I've also just gotten an undercut a pair of tight jeans and a paisley shirt with the sleeve rolled right up so I can drive my new car (you bums!) but believe me it does NOT sound or behave like a hairdressers car :-) and i've got plans people! PLANS for Bugsy!!!

but before I delve into the mad mad world of wrx tuning I've got more pressing matters like finishing Kiera!
