I am a die hard tobacco addict, but I've been trying to figure out some way to incorporate my shewing tobacco cans into modeling since it's such an abundant source of plastic. It hit me one day after taking a dip of chaw, I placed a heavy weapons team on top of my can and realized chew can lids are the exact dimensions of a 60mm base! So I cleaned up the can lid, flocked it, and modeled it, below are the results

Here is a comparison between the lid of your standard chewing tobaco lid and a 40k 60mm base

once the lid is flocked it looks legit

Thats awesome. I'll have to try that for my heavy weapons teams.

Get it painted up though. It's a scientific fact that unpainted models die quicker than painted one's.

Yo Dawg, I herd you like Kanz, so I put an Kanz on your cans so you can Killz while you Killz.

Neat use of what otherwise would be trash well done.

Also the metal ends to frozen juices are the same size and are much cheaper and won't make your lip fall off.

So digging back into my GW stuff that's been boxed about 6 months after i made this, the glue popped off making really cool baseless weapons teams. They still have the circle around them because of the terrain (so movement wouldn't be effected). One day I'll dig out all my GW stuff, but not until i can do it cheaply again. Prices on this stuff is out of hand right now, can't china make some decent knock offs like they did with legos?
