This is the list I have come up with so far. (2000 pts)
Aun'Va (he'll hide ) (100 Points)
Commander: Command and control, multi spectrum, drone controller, and TL flamer.
- 1 Marker Drone (157 Points)

Elite:
XV104 Riptide. Ion Accelerator, Twin Linked SMS, Counterfire Defence System, Early Warning Override, 2 shielded missile drones (245 Pts)

Troops:
3x 12 Man FIre Warrior Squads (108 x3 = 324pts)
1x 10 Man Fire Warrior Squad with DevilFish (Sensor Spines) (175 Points)
Kroot: 14 Kroot with Sniper Rounds, 3 Krootox, 1 Hound (150 Pts)

Fast Attack:
Pirahna X2, Fusion Blasters, Seeker Missiles, Blacksun Filters (118 pts)
Marker Drones x6 ( 84 points)

Heavy Support:
Hammerhead Gunship - Long Strike: Submunitions, 2x seeker missile, Sensor Spines (196 Pts)
Sniper Drone Squad: 9 Sniper Drones, 3 Marksman (174 pts)
XV88 Broadside Battlesuits X3 - TL Heavy Rail Rifles, TL SMS, Counterfire Defence System x2, velocity tracker x1.
- Shield Drones X2 (249 Points)

Commander should be able to provide a substantial boost to whatever unit needs it. Be it marker drones , the Riptide, the Broadsides, or a squad of fire warriors (esp. the one with the FireBlade)

Define anti-vehicle. Do you want to pop Medium to light vehicles (Chimeras, Rhinos, etc) or are you more worried about actual tanks (Hammerheads, LRBTs generally anything with AV13+ at the front) because the two have entirely different categories of weapons devoted to them and present very different threats.

This should get moved to Army Lists...

And the amount of anti light and anti heavy vehicles you need depends on what you are likely to face. Are you taking this list to a tourney or friendly matches? Any idea of your local meta?

Why is your Riptide so expensive as well? With those upgrades he should be 195. Unless you meant to have a EWO and VT, but its still only 210.

The riptide cost is including the drones. I didn't notice the army list forums, and hadn't intended to post the whole list when I first did it, but you're right, it should probably be moved there. I'm really trying to make an all comers list. That's why I picked a variety of units that could each be multiplied by the commander.

Ah. That makes more sense regarding the Riptide. A friendly mod will probably swoop in at any moment to move the thread, they are cool like that.

Looking at the Riptide, having the drones means your 6 wound 200+ point investment can scoot off the board from 1 wound and 1 failed leadership check. I would drop them, but that's just me!

I should still have rerollable leadership tests from Aun'Va, and without them, the commander can't join them to give him ignores cover & reroll to hit. That was theory anyway.

The Commander can join the Riptide even without the drones. For ICs it's important that the unit they join could be made of more than one model not that it actually is. Otherwise an IC couldn't join a unit that was shot down to a single model.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

good to know, but that would still drop his toughness unless I dropped the commanders drone too right?

Just give Irridium to the Commander and you use T6 from the broadside again.

Hrm. I actually like that idea. But back to my original question, is there enough anti tank?

Have you thought about trimming points to be under 2000 points so that its a legal 2000 point list?

Seems like an unfair advantage against other 2000pt lists.

(Unless your LGS group plays 2001, in which case, nevermind.)

Once I'm sure there are no more changes I need to make, yes. But the folks I Play with run +/-3 pts.

I've never actually come across an opponent who whined about going over by 1 point. Like, ever.

However, I do not play tournaments, so there's that.

My group generally just wings it. If someone is over by a couple of points, their opponent throws an extra upgrade on something.

It's more of a respect thing for me. My thought process is "My opponent is playing with a hard cap of 2000 points, why should I be able to take that last 5 point upgrade if it puts me over 2000? Maybe he chose a different unit to keep himself under 2000, or had to get rid of a good upgrade to keep under 2000. I should put a little extra work into my list, so that it is both effective, and under the agreed on point limit."

Plus, like you mentioned, tournaments.

In general though, I just consider it breaking a rule. Even if it's the most insignificant breaking of the most insignificant rule, it's still breaking a rule, and I don't like starting off a game like that.

Still curious if people think this is enough anti tank in an all comers army.

It looks like PLENTY of anti-tank there.

You have three commanders? Are you doing this as a DFO force? if you're building for tournies, i might reconsider that, but you said this was for a 2001 list so i guess if your local meta is chill with it then thats cool. makes it hard to gauge though since many tournies are 1999+1 types. Not all obviously.

Markerdrone on the commander is kinda oddball without an ADL for it to man.

It's Got a good First Blood mechanism built in there.

The list strikes me as AWFULLY stagnant. In the scouring, how would you go about getting the 4 poiont objective if it was nowhere near you? Or a pair of 3's? the Kroot aren't a terrible answer, but only one of them, with or without Acute senses is betting the farm on them and you didn't build them 17 or 21 strong.

In KP missions, you should do okay. You have primarily beefy squad sizes so their individual stats aside, it's still a fair number of bodies there. I count 103 models.

Looks like a fun list really. it's got some definite mobility issues but if you kill enough enemies, then maybe that ceases to matter.

That's a good point on the extra leader, and the mobility. Maybe I should just run commander + aun va, and drop the 3rd to beef up the kroot & give them a hound. I was also thinking about a devilfish, simply because I doubt it would draw much fire.

After Taking multiple bits of advice, I have slightly altered the list to accommodate the various suggestions. Original list edited.

Better. Give it a whirl and report back to us how it goes and what problems you run into.

So far I am 4:0 with this list. Vs dark eldar, mech tau, eldar, and vanilla sm. the only problem I've ran into so far is that the kroot has only been useful in one game, and the good opponent I faced was sharp enough to whack the devilish. I was able to table him with good dice rolls, but I might need to finagle another fish into the list.

4:0 means youre doing it right!

I think you can EASILY drop 2 Warriors per squad and get the second Devilfish. I think your performance will not dip so muchj that you will regret the added mobility.
