What color did you use for the armor? I really like that.

Its Kabalite Green highlighted with Sybarite Green with GW's Green Shade watered down over the top. It was airbrushed on to get a better blend of colours.

Very cool model! I thought about the Moritat for mine but haven't made one yet. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also... I can tell that you used Garviel's body, I hope you just bought a spare body

My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. Loken was a sad part of the model to use, but his armour is just too nice to part up. The rest of him makes up a bike mounted consul that I need to start work on.Meanwhile the bases will be put to good use elsewhere.

The only thing I don't like is the color you chose for the Jump Pack thrusters. It kind of get washed out with the rest of the model. I would have gone for maybe a red or even a pale blue or purple.

I agree the green may not be a strong enough contrast to make the jets stand out as much as I might of liked, blue would have likely gone the same way due to the turquoise of the main part of the armour.
When I hit up some Legion Destroyers I'll likely go a red/orange glow from the engines, as this was my first attempt at the engine glow I'm hoping the next one would come out better.

Awesome work here! Great stuff! I love the models, not just the paint job. The only thing I could suggest is to do something with the shoulder pads. They seem sad all blank like that... Still, they are awesome, even if you don't do anything else with them.

Thanks, I'm really enjoying painting them. I'm considering investing in the sculpted Sons of Horus pads or decals for future models, trying to weigh up of the extra cost per model of the pads is worth it compared to the decals.

I used both on my Sons, I really liked the sculpted pads and I find they were worth the effort and extra $$. Transfers work great if you use Microset and Microsol, but you're probably going to need to invest in 2 of the decal sheets if you plan to work on a force of any considerable size.

Coelia greenshade sorry. It comes out more of a blue green which works well with the armour

I prime black but thats mostly because its what i have in. The layering over black with my airbrush helps keep shadows dark. Havent tried it with other colours to see what the results look like
