I have a tournament sunday.
I need to tap the DAKKA pool of knowledge.

My list so far -

Daemon Prince - nurgle, lvl 3, flight, chaos armour, chaos familiar, flaming breath, soul feeder, dragin bane gem, enchanted shield, swird of striking. - 500pts

Exalted Hero - nurgle, btl standard bearer, charmed shield, talisman of preservation - 195pts

Fetus- 190pts

25 x chaos warriors - nurgle, halberds, full command, standard if discipline, - 520pts

5 x dogs - vanguard, poison attacks - 45pts

Chimera - flaming breath, regen - 275pts

Chimera - flaming breath, regen - 275pts

2000pts

Personally, I'd drop flaming breath and take scaled skin insread, then swap the charmed and enchanted shields around. Biggest danger to your DP is a cannon, which you can mitigate. You could add Nurgle's rot or give him poisonous slime (taking poison off the dogs to pay for it).

I know this loses a good number of attacks, but it makes you super hard to kill.

I was thinking nurgle to fit with festus.

Taking Nurgle guaruntees that you get all the spells (as ou xan know each only once) and it is a good lore, but having 5 death spells is also great. Spiri leeching a low ld kodel with your dp can generate a good few dice.
I really like the Nurgle / Death combo, but either would work and Nurgle 6 is amazing against elves...

Not only that but you have a chanse of making your deamon prince even tougher! another WoC player at my last tournament had nurgle on him(i had death on mine) he got his deamon prince up to toughness 7.thanks to some lucky sixes on his succesfull casts.

I played in the tournament sunday. I ranked 3rd out of 20.

1st game against empire I lost 13-7. First turn battle standard died to final trtransmutation of gold boooo

2nd game against ogres, I won 20-0.

3rd and last game against beastmen. 17-3 victory to me. Daemon prince regained 5 wounds in combat.

My daemon prince used death magic.
I must admit from now on it will be nurgle magic. I really didn't get on with death. To many direct damage. When your daemon prince is combat driven it helps no-one apart from opponent. Well thats my opinion anyhow.
