Great work on the Comp but 6mm Fremen? tell me more!

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Hola, quick update. There will be more a-coming.
Had a great time playing the battle of wolf 359 with the help of some Klingons:

A good scenario: as with so much of the hobby generally, if you don't try to break the game, it's super fun.

And colour blocking:

More to come, including a death eater mask for #1 son!

Thanks chaps.

I *think* he's done. This isn't the final photo: I'm going to take the time with the light tent etc. However, for the time being, I give you Sgt "Flaming" Claw:

I've used Vallejo military colours mostly - Green Ochre, Russian Uniform, English Uniform and Luftwaffe green - along with Smoke, Black Glaze and Skin Wash. I've not used any metal at all, and tried for some NMM (eep). In the pic he's a bit shiny - still wet - but still might need to hit him up with some brush on matt varnish.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with him. The composition works for me, it has a narrative of sorts, and he looks like a MW. Your thoughts?

BTW, more Mansions stuff ahead, along with a death eater

Ahright, china? Goodness me you get things done don't you? I have to know what the secret is to your output, where do you find the time and how do you avoid procrastination? Muchos respect. And quality to boot, what a guy!

And I never thought I'd see the day when you would step away from the workshop of games. I understand and agree with your decision but I never thought you would really do it. I find their attitude most upsetting when the manage to alienate people like yourself. So sad but you know there is so much more out there. I'd love to see you play about with Infinity, it's hard not to love once you get past how daunting it is.

Anywho, it's nice to be up to date with your hobbying, keep doing what your doing, I love it! Pm incoming.

Me, avoid procrastination? are you kidding?! It's just cos you've not been around here in a while. And, you've got to remember, I've still got fully playable SoB and SM armies in boxes - as I said pre-7th, I'll wait for 9th

Pfft, you might have stuff in boxes but you're constantly producing too!

Have faith, dude, he looks awesome. If I had to be picky I think I'd consider a repaint on the left shoulder pad, I feel like he could use a smidge of colour there. As I say though, I'm having to be picky to come up with suggestions.

I actually meant the bumpy one sorry, his left. Nothing drastic, I just feel like it could use some of that yellow spot colour in that general area, not necessarily even on the shoulder pad.

Nicely done.

The bent, driven-over grass really gives it a dynamic feel, much in line with the bike.

And the need for some touch-ups? There's time yet, and there are only some details, looks great.

And that line is tiny and could easily be part of the weapon. I would never have noticed it if you hadn't said.
