Trying to make a themed list for a 1000 point charity tournament.

Competitiveness would be nice, but it's not the main focus of the list ~ that would be shenanigans. I would however like the list to be as strong as possible while staying in theme, so feel free to give suggestions. Unfortunately though, it seems that a gunline is the only way to make these guys viable...

Not adverse to IG allies as I've included below.

-FW allowed
-No Fliers
-Aegis has been ruled to allow Grot Big Guns etc to fire through (common sense), but Gretchin cannot claim perfect concealment behind it (sucks, but fair enough).

Current List;

Main Detachment: Codex Orks

1x "Zappy Deffgun" ~ 98
-Grot Oilers tinkering about with a ludicrously overbuild death ray. Counts as a SAG Mek w/ ammo runt

2x Backfield Bullet Catchers ~ 134
-18/17 Grots, 1x Grot Boss

-Grott Bomm Launchaz x 3 ~ 105

Grot "Artillery" ~ 302
-6x Lobba, 6x Ammo Runt
-3x Kannon, 3x Ammo Runt
-Aegis Defense Line w/ Lascannon

Allied Detachment: Imperial Guard ~ 370

"Da boss Krew" ~ 100
-Company Command Squad with the following gear/upgrades; Lascannon Heavy Weapons Team, Master of Ordinance

"Grot Snipers" ~ 30
-Counts as 3x Ratlings

"Nasty Skulkers" ~ 80
When da Orks iz ded, someone's gotta run da camp! Nasty Skulkerz are the Grot equivalent of Nobs. Needless to say, they aren't very impressive ~ just don't let them get behind you!
-Counts as Penal Legion Squad

"Da Big Bomm" ~ 160
Oh yes, dis here is da big bomm dats fer sure. We'll blow up the humies real nice...
-Deathstrike Missile Launcher or Manticore, depending on how strong I can make the rest of the list.

Man I love this theme. The whole grot army idea is so awesome to me. I like the list. The only thing I could think of is maybe drop the guard for grot tanks and or grot mega tanks as they are fairly good and being grots of course fit into the list. That many points could buy you a full grot mega tank and a decent sized squad I think. That could be better but I'm really not sure. I dont know how competitive it will be but for a grot list it is for sure one of the better ones I've seen. Its a great idea and i think it could look great. And good luck at the tourney

I did consider Grot Tanks over IG, but that bloody Deathstrike Missile was too tempting

Great idea. As cool as the deathstrike is, and in the interest of making the list better, I would swap it for a manticore.

I would also consider a boomgun looted wagon.
