can I have some help with the DC.? what colour should the details on the pads be? my FE's have a red and white/bone colour scheme and my special guys have the gold. so should the DC. be Bone and silver? i'm leaning that way but want to see what you think!? and the hammer shaft is indeed going to be a different colour it's just primer at the moment :-)

If the color stays that Metallic black/ silver for your DC.. why not do the shoulders Red. Unless I'm missing something.

Lovely work Damo. I especially like the jump pack equipped captain- the sword is great and the filligree style patterns on the armour are inspired.

As for the DC, I'd leave the pads as-is?

Hey guys, the pads and arms are staying red but it's the wings and drops and sculpted 'Blood Angel' iconography I was unsure of :-) I'm thinking bone?

Well I guess since they come mainly from the rank and file, I would go for bone (lol) on the pads. Either that or black for moar grimdark.

I think it's the contrast you get on your reds that make them look so good.
Nice work on the squiggly bits too.
And the head is great.

Naimad looks very cool Nerdy, the swirls are spot on and really help to break up the colour on that pad.

I also just realised why you named him that as well

The Libby looks very nice as well that blue is very nice indeed.

Not sure what to do with the DC shoulder pads, will bone stand out enough against the red?

I shall indeed keepeth my brush moist and continue at my earliest convenience with painting these models! although I will be honest and say that I may be slightly distracted by a parcel that arrived yesterday :-) it may have been of the nasty green variety!? and may have been freakin' awesome and if I show you then you'll want me to throw all my FE"s away and start on something new.....maybe....and in that vein I will implore GFX to peruse the Orkish Codexius to find out what's good!

Before you start the green horrors it'd kinda like to see what you could do with that jet bike ? Maybe with a Chaplain or something for your Blood Angels ?

My only problem with Spellcrow is that I've found a lot of their awesome looking bits to be way too small to use with 40k figures. Scale is just completely off even though they were specifically advertised as "heroic scale".

I think that's a painboy you've got there Damo... a very viable HQ choice is today's modern ork army! Been thinking about getting one of those figures myself!

Which is odd because their MAN equivalent are huge. Like Ghazzy sized.

Finished my Painboy and as usual when I'm keen on something I get stuck in and love it this is no exception, I dirtied up my style for him and kept him true to his calling, Dr Rencher clocking in for his shift!

I like the Spellcrow stuff, heroically accurate or not they still work on them as they're organic and I like to think that there's a difference in size amongst the boyz stand alone stuff isn't bad and I've got oodles of arms and bodies so when I get to it hopefully I can match them up well.

Cam, I'm looking for 2 Trukks at this stage GFX is playing with a list for me to build to and it's very 'Damo'

O great now you do green skins when you went marine I could stay away but now this I have to comment, damn you it look so damn cool Doc is amazing you have managed to lift out the detail nicely and the almost white coat is a great touch

Now I hate you as I aint even going to bother painting mine as it will feel inferior to this happy now go back to marines o yes if you didn't get it I liked it by the way

The conversion look awesome as well especially the alternative kan fist have we been shopping in China though

Yes I will paint it as they produce some amazing sculpts have to be one of my favourite Ork producers to be honest, I noticed you got the Kommando bodies they are some awesome looking bits.
