SO, I've spent ages reading the P&M blogs here on Dakka and thought it was about time I started my own one. It'll be pretty irregular due to the fact I'm in the Royal Navy and spend a lot of time at sea, so updates will be whenever I'm back in the UK!

To get started here's a few work in progress shots of my Looted Carnifex, sorry for the crappy pics, I've only got my phone for pics at the minute.

Cheers! I think it needs a few armour plates and some rivets yet. Definitely more rivets!

I very much like where this is going. Can't wait to see the finished model.

I had a game a couple of days ago and used this. It must look more scary than it actually is (I use it as a Deff dread) because my opponent shot at it repeatedly until it died!
Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to unleash it in close combat!

Wow, 6 months ago I tried to start this blog in an attempt to motivate myself to keep going with my army. However, I injured my back pretty bad and found myself unable to sit down for more than 5 minutes at a time. Kinda stopped any progress. But now I'm on the mend so I unpacked all my stuff and started building again.

Again, sorry for the gakky pics, when I actually get round to sticking some paint down I'll borrow my housemates proper camera!

First up is the Combork Harvester, still needs loads of rivets adding and a big shoota or two

I watched Dredd again last night and although this isn't really based on the movie version I thought I would build an ork Lawmaster. Again, needs loads of rivets and something suitably orky adding to the front.

It's coming along ok, this is the first time I've ever really got around to painting a model of this size! Gotta finish off the cab and gunner, do some weathering to the exhausts and then add rivets and spikes to the deathrolla.

The combork harvester is pretty much finished. I might go back and add some weathering at a later date but I'm calling it done for now.

Great and hilarious idea for the Deathrolla

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Orks are on hold for a bit, I've kinda fell out with 40k and have no enthusiasm for it. Bought Zombicide a few days ago and the housemates love it so far, here's the test scheme I did yesterday;

Look on the bright side: now we have Orks and Zombies, which might bring forth some.... interesting conversions (as in, stuff like an Ork sled with Zombies, chasing a Grot on a stick mounted on the vehicle)

THINK OF ALL THE POSSIBILITiES LEVIATHUS

All jokes aside, these models look great Kaiserjez! I hope you aren't leaving 40k forever, I'd love to see some more of those Ork/Tyranid conversions

Cheers for the comments! The Orks are definitely only on hiatus, once I get my 40k mojo back I'll start working on them again.

Here's an update for now, it's a bit of a crappy phot sorry, I'll try and take some better ones later.

Well, it's been a while but Shadow War: Armageddon and the fact that 8th Edition looks like being great so far, have led to me getting my Orks out of storage. So far I've mostly been sorting out the boxes upon boxes of orky goodness but I did find the time to paint up an Ork Nob.

Really got my mojo back for gaming right now!
