I'd say it looks sleeker than marine aesthetics so far.

What the hell is on the nose? Avenger Mega Bolters? They look too big to be Assault Cannons, and almost big enough to be Thunderfire Cannons! I like the look of it so far.

I guess this is a gunship/bomber variant of the Storm Eagle.

Are those cannons mounted on the side as well?

It looks like it's exactly what I wish the Stormraven was. If that's the case though, then this thing will be $150 easily.

it looks like a crappy kitbash between a valk and a stormraven. the poor photo hides some of the fail work... i HIGHLY doubt this thing is legit

I can see it being real. But after the horror that was the two Storm Eagles I bought, I won't be getting this.

I like it! It's either someone's kit bash/scratchbuild using the stormeagle (and stormraven plastic parts of course), or it could be a FW prototype pic/leak, which does much the same as above only that we'll all get a shot at buying it down the road. Anyone knows if there is a FW designer who's into Deep Purple? Hehe!

And I agree with many of the above comments, that if this is a FW model, it's going to be a pain to build much like the Stormeagle was!

I'm hoping those aren't assault cannons, but I'm betting they are. GW makes those things so many different sizes, its getting stupid.

Have to agree - the latest Marine flyer had ridiculously over-sized assault cannons - that's probably what these are too.

Mounted on the nose is a twin-linked Avenger mega bolter, the barrel matches up nicely with that of the Nephilim. One more shot, but no rending.

I like how it looks, a lot. Unfortunately if it's a FW kit I won't buy it no matter what the price because I'm sure that it will have all the same build problems the Storm Eagle has.

If this was a plastic kit I'd snap it up in a heartbeat, though; even though I don't really play anymore.

Also, "Fire Raptor"? That doesn't fit the naming convention does it?

Probably a play on the bird of prey type that gives fire support.

I'd like to imagine it going in slow, idle loops hammering soft targets with the quad-heavy bolters like a AC-130, and then tearing up light to medium vehicles with the front assault cannons.

Those kinds of flyers are my favorite, super danger close gunships.
