Most people don't seem to have a problem with how I come across online; in fact I tend to find that people like me on here.

Well, I'm not saying people don't like you, per se, but it seems to me that people may be getting fed up with your attitudes toward them. What can I say? Repeatedly telling people to get on with an event to which they may not be on Dakka to do at the given moment (Ever been on just to chill?) doesn't seem to be proactive to bringing about a positive image. I mean, especially when you yourself are relatively famous upon this little corner of Dakka for not giving out the goods at your own deadline, (remember the zombies thread?) it just seems to reek hypocrisy. Oh, and no one enjoys being corrected upon grammatical mistakes.

But as I said, no one dislikes you here. To dislike someone who you don't know is foolish, but to be annoyed by how people act, their potential immaturity, or even the way they need to get the last laugh in in every conversation can be much easier. Not specific to you, but y'know, the way you act online can formulate how you are seen by the general public.

I'll start with hypocrisy. My events tend to be very large; whilst this is a hinderance to the overall progress of the roleplay and something I seek to amend, it does go some way to explain the lengthy waits.

Correcting grammar? I post with 98% perfect grammar, with the occasional typo or mistake (who doesn't?) so I see no reason why anyone else should do any less, save for certain cases such as Dyslexia or not having English as a first language. People don't have to like me correcting it, they just have to learn from it.

Not really all that bothered with continuing this any further; better things to do, you understand.

Because Kais is taking forever to do events, and we have to sit on our asses until something happens.

I've been waiting for an event for a few weeks now, and I might quit.

I'm not defending him at all Chowder, but may I raise a possible explanation? So Kais is a school kid, am I right? Guessing between the ages of 13 to 16. It means he has exams right now, GCSE, or at least SATs. Hell, I have AS levels to burn through at the moment, and it has made it difficult to contribute much in the last couple of days. I feel he could be in the same boat. Revision can start a coupla' weeks before the exam, so you can obviously take into account that he might not be being lazy, he might actually just be prioritising things that matter more at the moment. You've been young once (Probably, it's a bit hit and miss with people online) so I'm sure you're aware of the strain exams can potentially put on people...

Guys I'm real sorry that it's taking so long, I just came home, and had to do stuff, and gak happening, blah blah blah that's personal to me, but I have done some of it, about halfway with it...

... should be up tomorrow...

... and yes ghosty you are also right, I have orals coming literally within the next week, and I have all my exams around just after that...
