Subject: WFB dwarfs in Feb. Pics in 1st post. link to new pics p13
Better/fuller version of the new WD format confirms this.
New Longbeards and a character on an oath stone are coming ..... unless the mention of Longbeards is a general reference to the race as a whole ? Seems unlikely though.
various rumours to do with other kits TBC.
25.1.14 2 new pics added.
originally from Bugman's Brewery site .
from the same source
There's also a new named character releasing with them that looks awesome as hell too. he had magic items (not runic) in the form of a weapon that gave him +1 to hit and asf and a shield that gave him immunity to killing blow
27.1.14 from the GW site
Long have they fought the terrors in the dark beneath the mountains. And long have they died defending what is rightfully theirs. No more. Now is the time for vengeance, for conquest, for power. Ancient grudges will be settled on 1st February, make sure you’re here to find out more.
Ok went to my FLGS and they were selling the weekly white dwarf issue 1.
Belegar Ironhammer Rocks ,though it does not mention his armor so assume it's gromril
He can double his attacks once per game, has a 4+ ward save, immune to any sort of killing blow and has +1 to wound with ASF
They only discuss the Hammer/Longbeard kit and the two hero clam packs. Nothing else is discussed in the articles. I will have to go over it again to see if there is anything I missed.
Also a beard painting tutorial which is nice.
Picked up from the WD thread

So, I don't know if this has been discussed already, but a LGS near me was accidentally selling next week's White Dwarf early. The Dwarfs have a Gyrobomber coming, this kit also makes a new Gyrocopter. They are also getting a new Runelord, and Engineer Character, and the next White Dwarf has a picture of the new Dwarf Army Book. Also, if you look closely, you can see new Dwarf Ironbreakers. This new Ironbreakers kit also looks like it builds some kind of blunderbuss wielding shooting unit. This blunderbuss carrying unit might also have the option to build some kind of flamethrower gun, I'm not sure.
In review:
New Gyrobomber/Gyrocopter kit.
Engineer Character.
New Runelord.
Grainy pictures in next White Dwarf of new Ironbreakers, and it seems this kit also builds new ranged unit with large gun or blunderbuss option and possible flamethrower option.

-Yes Belegar has gromril. His Oathstone will be an extra points upgrade
-Thunderers/Quarrellers are CORE and RARE currently
-Gyrocopter is coming (see picture behind Slayer in video in "what's new"
-pg 27 of the WD says "Next week: Engineering Madness" in Designer Notes
-I would like to note that the Hammerers use GROMRIL hammers
ARMY RULES
It's basically 3 rules:
-Ancestral grudge, roll a D6 before the first turn. On 1-2 your general hates the enemy's general. On 3-4 your characters hate all enemy characters. On 5-6 your army hates the entire enemy army.
-Resolute, charging units have +1 strength
-Relentless, cannot be marchblocked.
(NOTICE: no -1 to flee and pursue rolls? I figured this would go with how movement and charging changed and all.)

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

That would make sense as I cannot find Longbeards on the US site currently. There's a Blood Bowl Longbeard, a ton of paint collections with Longbeard Grey in it, but no Longbeards from the Dwarf army.
The first White Dwarf weekly is about to be revealed. Inside are the Dwarven releases of Longbeards and Hammers, as well as a few characters and a special character with rules.
Please remember that until this is released, its considered to be rumors. The first edition is scheduled for February 1st.

I had a chance to flip through the White Dwarf weekly earlier today. Here is what I can report on:
Dwarves:
Dual Longbeard / Hammers box $50. They look amazing
Belegar Ironhammer (Or Ironbeard, cant remember). $21. Awesome sculpt.
Trollslayer Character $21. Amazing...thought it was Gotrek.
Previews for upcoming novels: Scars (Which was an ebook series) and a few others.
Jervis Johnson article/rule set: Explains Scouting in 40k...reads well, a cool mini-game prior to scout moves.
A Tyranid article
A how to paint guide for the new dwarves (exactly like whats in White Dwarf now)
A how to build guide for the new dwarves (exactly like whats in White Dwarf now)
Rules: Belegar Ironhammer. These are full rules with point costs! I won't relay but this guy is cheap for what you get from him. 300+ points, lots of good attacking ability and awesome defense.
It seems they are indeed a new kit.

I wonder why they would do that.
If they are doing the books after the first wave of models you really have to wonder what advantage they see to that other than getting people to buy the new models without seeing the rules for them.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Nobody mentioned an armybook in first week so far.

Yes this worries me especially with models that we don't know rules for yet. I just ordered 40 AoW pathfinders but I am hesitant to build them now due to the new release
From the sound of it, I think I just need to wait till the end of feb to order all this stuff. Unless GW wants to make me a nice deal for ordering early? Just saying.
Actually, weakly WD announces new products from the week to come, so WD1 announces longbeards and two characters from 8th February, with armybook maybe as late as 15th February (announced in WD2).
well, considering the army book will have pics of all the new models in it. I would assume they don't want to show anything off too early, and let you be in awe of the new models first. Still, the rulebook should come before any figures really, but, I guess this is how they want to do it now.
That makes sense in a perverse "don't give away any information" way.
But it makes no sense in an army building way. I'm quite interested in the Dwarf release, but I'm not buying anything until I've read the army book, so if it's not until week 3 (WD2 + 1 week) I'm not buying figures until at least week 4.
