Three of them must be named Bungle, Zippy and George.

And if you use musicians, Rod, Jane & Freddy.

Sadly, I am not British enough to have understood either of those references without looking them up first.

@Buttery, you should get a mirror or two when you do your mini-me photo shoot, just to inception it up a bit more

I bought some bits of wood to use as materials in... something...whatever I come up with for the currently running LoER competition 'Got Wood?'. I've got modern/zombie type stuff on the brain lately so I'll probably try to make a building or two.

Agonizing over the beauty and elegance of the new battle systems post apocalyptic terrain versus it's cost. Rooting for Warpath to keep trundling along and then take off. I would like to heavily back them for some corporation troops i f they can get that far, I like the ones I have but the new concept art is pretty killer.

If the baby doesn't randomly wake up (likely) in the next few minutes, I'm gonna paint some kind of contemporary human figure from MA/WGF/whatever.

Gonna paint up some Cadians today. All this love, passion and attention to detail for this squad of 10 salty troopers. And then I look at my pile o' Guardsmen that is 70 strong.

Today, I based my tournament list for Sacramento next weekend and built the base of my hardboard skyshield. Actually, I built two, since I was already at the table saw. Finally, I attached all the models from warlord games "ruined hamlet " to some hardboard too. Lots of work this week to get ready for the tourney. Most of my minis are dipped, and I store them barbarically. To keep the sand from chipping I am gonna let the pva/sand dry then paint on the dip, and it should turn into concrete so I can keep tossing the into ziplock bags!

Being too lazy to paint anything that meant I built something instead. Today its been the start on a Silt Strider port for my Morrowind terrain, or "a big set of stairs to nowhere which giant fleas dock" for those who haven't played that particular game. I'm making a ruined Hlaalu township as part of a Frostgrave board based on that setting and need some taller buildings to have a bit more of a 3D board. Having one of those ports seems like an interesting way to have one of those rather than the typical guard towers which I've already started on.

I finished 7 contemporary models between Mars Attacks and Wargames factory survivors. Working on 5 more WGF zombies with which to harass them.

I also gave in to my darkness and bought a bus to use with said figures.

Lol, I have 80 WGF guardsmen assembled and reasonably painted. With another 6 HWTs built.... Plus, another 4 boxes of infantry and 6 or so more "HWT" boxes.... All from WGF.

The problem is, since I've moved, my LGS happens to be my LGW.... where WGF is obviously not kosher

I was trying to get a friend of mine to pose with it in his commissar uniform, but he's sadly busy.
I'd do it but the effect would be diminished for numerous reasons.

Trying to make one of them beastmen chariot things from various bits and pieces. Mixed results; the chariot body is something I made when I was about 12, and I forgot how coated in glue it is.

I was... not very good with glue when I was younger, I am realizing.

Just got back from a 5-player run through of the D&D board game Wrath of Ashardalon... fething mental. Before any of the party were even in sight of the boss we had lava flows, cave-ins, poison traps and about a dozen monsters in play, and most of the Healing Surges used up... Brutal stuff, but the players (first-timers) seemed to enjoy it, so repeat sessions will be scheduled as and when, and at some point this side of Christmas we might approach fighting the first boss...

I'm finally finishing construction of my Sky Ray's other markerlight, meaning I am done putting that kit together. I am also putting together a couple of Land Speeder Typhoons for my Dark Angels. I have two weeks to get them at least in playable condition so that I can run the Ravenwing Support Squadron in a tournament.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

No real progress today, but I have got my next batch of stuff primed up; a Genestealer, a pair of Hobbits, a Dwarf who will be some kind of Paladin and a rather random dog that will possibly accompany said Dwarf...

I also got a great deal on some Batman minis, so by the end of the week will have nearly doubled my collection. all 3 Birds of Prey, the starter for the Court of Owls (one other model and that's a full crew), Joker and Harley Quinn crews and Nyssa Al Ghul for the League of Shadows, all at roughly 50% off RRP. That should keep me going for a while!

Ooh, looking forward to seeing what you do with those! I have some old Warzone imperials in my Guard army, but I've not seen a lot done with the new stuff! Do you plan to use them for playing Warzone, or do you have something else in mind?

I'll have to look at how critical the basing is to the rules, but I'm quite happy to paint them and use them as Kriegers for my HBD and Imperials for my Warzone.
I only ever play 40K with friends and Dakka members, neither of which who would be salty with me using them.
