I really enjoyed your X-Wing Miniatures piece. My airbrush skills are not quite there yet for such small minis, but your stuff definitely inspires to keep practicing. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Excellent write up about airbrushing.

I have been using a H&S infinity for over 3 years now but the section you showed about what the spray pattern should look like was something I had never seen before and shows what I may still be doing a bit wrong even after all this time.

I never realised the model air stuff needed further thinning but that's beacause I was working at a higher PSI (around 20) where 15-10 may be better.

Off to try that with my Raptor army I am painting

Great looking blog and really interesting content. I really enjoyed the X-Wing repaints and when I get a chance I'm looking forward to reading through your Firestorm article. Keep the content coming as I'm looking forward to reading more!

I like the airbrush run throughs. One thing I would ask is if you can include which paint colours you use (I.e which of the many light greys available did you use on your x wing resprays?)

Look forward to more!

NEXT BLOG UPDATE PLOXXX!

just had a read through your airbrush P2 and I was glad for the info, being fairly new to airbrushing it was nice to see some examples. However, I am mostly looking forward to the next set of tutorials! I have been moving away from basing and basic layers with my airbrush and am looking forward to seeing your directional spray tut.

Tutorials id love to see on airbrushing:
- How to fade colours into each other on both larger and smaller surfaces.
- How to approach detail work with the airbrush

Keep up the good work! il re-visit in the near future!

OP,

Have you had a chance to try the Minitaire paint line that is being distributed by badger? The paints seem really good and are no thin straight from the bottle.
