Boosting Space Marine Biker

My day today after going to a cheap flgs up north.
Me : hi I play chaos space marines and I heard I can get a cheap strike force here.
Store guy: umm I currently only cater my stock to what the local players are playing with, and most of them requested astra millitaruim gear. Points to 2 boxes taped together, I can sell you those for £120, that's a defense force and armored fist squad for cadians
Me: ok sounds Good
Got home
So I have 2 chimeras , a leman Russ, 3 heavy weapons teams, 3 squads of guardsmen And a command squad.
And no codex or plan on how to use this a competent army and I've blown my wargames budget for the year.
What can I make with this

You've got a HQ, up to 3 troops choices (with transports) and a Heavy Support.
You just won yourself a Fledgling Guard Army, son.
Though if you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands. Always room for more men in this company.

Not a whole lot as a Primary Detatchment.
With just those models, you need to have a Company Command Squad for your HQ- 5 models, the command kit will do nicely.
Troops? 2 vet squads are 20 men. An infantry Platoon is a minimum of 25, though- so that and a Vet Squad is 35*. If you fold your Heavy Weapons teams into the infantry squads, you have 36 men spare- also an option, if you're so inclined.
Your tank is a tank and it will shoot things, not much else to say.

HQ
Command squad (what can I do with it)
Troops
10 vets chimera
10 vets chimera
10 vets (bastion, I own one)
Heavy support
Leman Russ (standard, exterminator, or vanquisher)
3 heavy weapons teams

convert them into renegade guard / cultists, that way if you want to run a mass cultist list you can, and at the same time start building up a full guard army .... having the x2 vet chimeras and the bastion or a couple infantry blobs wouldn't be a bad addition to a chaos force depending on what your playing.

Not quite, sadly. But close as.
Your HQ is just a 5 man squad. 4 guys, 1 commander to issue platoons. All members of the squad can carry specialist weapons, though, so you can kit it out fairly killy.
Your vet squads can take 3 special weapons each- get ready to borrow/convert some melta or plasma guns. Infantry sprues only come with flamers and Grenade Launchers (feth you GW)
The Heavy Weapons Teams can only be bought as a group of three in an infantry platoon. But you can take one Heavy Weapon in place of 2 guardsmen from any infantry squad in this list.
So, Mayhap:
Company Command Squad
+Heavy Flamer, Vox Caster, Lascannon
Veterans
+3x Melta, Chimera
Veterans
+3x Plasma, Chimera
Veterans
+Lascannon, Vox Caster
Leeman Russ w/ Battle Cannon
Bastion
You'd be coming in at about 600 points there. Veterans and the CCS could also invest in Camo Cloaks or Carapace Armour, to help bulk up points and survivability.

I do actually own a 10 man squad of converted snap fit cadians for cultist use. (Goes digging) black armor with red shirts, tempted to make a star trek color scheme. with tank commanders in yellow shrits, footmen in red and support units in blue shirt. What dies an extra 10 men do for list improvement Automatically Appended Next Post: Also makes me laugh as red shirts always die in the show, becomes byword for expendable Automatically Appended Next Post: I have 3 imperal plasmaguns left over from a plasma chosen conversion, sadly no melta though though with a tank and a barrel replacement I may be able to make a lasgun serviceable Automatically Appended Next Post: Looking up stats for the leman Russ guns in my possession. Vanquisher battle cannon is unclear as the rulebook outlines its stats as heavy 1* meaning their is more to it. Can someone elaborate for me.

I'm not selling I have finished building my russ, chimera, and a squad of redshirts, they are adoreable I am so proud. Because of the extra 10 men I have built them with every special weapon I could find allowing me to switch between lists. Attempts to make melta vets failed but I still have plenty of lasguns Also I now have a commisar, went to my fgls for yellow paint and our only other guard player was there, since he now has the new commissar model he gave me his old one. Seems fairly happy that someone else started guard. I managed to stuff the lemans turret with cork and the guns all have pins in them for switching. However the tank Commander didn't sit in the cork stuffed turret, so with some pipe I built a little tower for the heavy stubber and the commander sits in that. Looks good so far Automatically Appended Next Post: so with the addition of the commissar is the following viable, I am going playing against the other guard player who said he would match my list in points, using similar units so that he could teach me neat tricks. HQ Lord Commissar (rides with the CCS chimera) Bolt pistol, Power maul Specialists Enginseer (a converted cultist model, working on green stuff mecha tendrils) Troops Infantry platoon CCS 2x grenade launchers , chimera 3x infantry squads, (one for bastion may insert some flamers somewhere) 3x HW teams, (thinking lascannons, also can these guys get camo cloaks) Veteran squad Carapace armour 3x plasmaguns Chimera Heavy support Leman Russ Eradicator (apparently its cheap and ignores cover) 3x heavy bolters Heavy stubber Fortification Bastion with Quad gun idea is that the Leman Russ goes in one corner and the bastion in the other. Using the HW teams, and plasma vets, I will break transports leaving occupants open to bolter and cannon fire, with the Russ and bastion I should have reasonable view of the battlefield, infantry squads claim objectives with the CCS ordering them about and cleaning up the leftovers (hence flamer additions). the lord commissar will deal with LD issues with the objective holders. Enginseer babysits the Russ and keeps it running. how does this sound?
