Yo! I was just hoping that someone who plays as Canadians could answer a question of mine. There is a guy at my local wargame club.. don't get me wrong, he's great, but has an irritating habit of remembering rules differently to everyone else. He used to use Canadians and claimed they had a special rule that allowed them to re-roll ALL morale/motivation checks except for a company one.
Now I know for a FACT that this isn't the case in the Overlord briefing (I think the rule is called 'Assault Troops' and it just allows them to re-roll for unpinning and re-mounting vehicles) but does this rule differ in any of the other books? I'd like to know for certain before I correct him on it, as he has basically given a new player his old Canadian army and is teaching him the game with much emphasis on these amazing re-rolls!

I love my Canadians, think it has something to do with being Canadian eh

Yes the Assault troops rule allows re-rolls on pinned down and remounting bailed vehicles checks, I would love to re-roll all moral checks but unfortunately we are just not THAT good (almost but not quite)

As mentioned it's reroll to bailed/ pinned I think their special character in MG/ overlord (for the armoured recce) gives a company moral reroll and along with the normal IC reroll allows a second platoon in LoS a reroll to a motivation test too
