A lot of the Imperial guard metal figures are out of stock on the American GW site. Say that their Temporarily out of stock. I know they are phasing out the metal. But do you think their really going to cut so much like all the different regiments right after the release of the new dex? Also the tech priest are out too..

I'd love plastic Vostroyans, but I doubt this is the reason. We're more likely looking at the US just being short on models at the moment because people are buying up whatever stock was there for the new codex.
If I'm wrong though then I know what I'm buying like 10 boxes of.

Ther have been 50 Space Marine HQ products january 2014, now it is about 38.
Do you expect GW to release 50 new plastic kits for SM HQ alone?
GW will rather write those models out of the Codex than keep metal and Finecast models. See latest Tyranid and IG Codex.
So grab them while you can.

Terrible comparison. The old wraithguard were crappy, stunted and awkward looking. The new ones are bigger, more detailed and come with more options. There is no way the old ones were a better deal.

I just managed to buy two boxes of mordians last friday (18/04/2014) I reckon it was just a temporary thing, although a lot of the other mordian and regimental miniatures are gone :(

I reccomend hitting up eBay. That's my plan for Vostroyans because there is just a lot of stuff that just is cheaper that way.

I was looking at the website today and just talked to customer service: Vostroyan Mortar team is gone. Any models missing from the pages aren't likely to come back (unlike the week or so before the new website were they were just out of stock) so if you see a model disappear from the pages, that's it it's gone.

I want all the commissar models, but they're never all in stock at the same time, and I can never find them on eBay. I've been trying to get the lord with the badass fur cape and sword, the guy with the plasma pistol mid lunge, and the guy with his hand behind his back pointing his pistol execution style.
Only one is in stock at any given time and I can't find a way to backorder them on the new site. The one friggin time I want to give GW money and they won't let me do it

If you have an account you can have them email you when items come back in stock (there is a button on OOS items that says "email me", I'm using it on Vostroyans and the various Psykers).

I'm just starting mine. I'm pretty much resigning myself to casting the OOP models at this point just because it'll be a lot cheaper than trying to hunt down multiples of them all on ebay and the like. GW isn't making/selling those models anymore so if they want to argue lost profits I'm going to argue lost opportunity to sell me another metal army. I've got $3K in Sisters, I think I'm good for at least that in Vostroyans (or I would be if all the models were still around).
I don't know the full group of missing models (yet) but I know I'm down a Mortar Team, and an Junior Officer with Chainsword. There one with the Powersword looks okay, so I might just pretend that it's a CCW instead.
Oh and the Officer with a Powerfist who doesn't come in the Company Command set.
