We have one vehicle a month and several infantry codes coming out as well this year but the order was selected based on book releases so Panther's and Tiger's are later this year and Pershing's and Sherman's are very soon.

Next month is the plastic M26 Pershing kit. Hopefully they'll throw some love in their for my British, hopefully plastic 25 pdr guns but I would put my money on a plastic A-34 Comet tank kit.

Very nice to see. Quite an unusual choice for plastic seeing as it was only produced very late on and is unlikley to be fielded in great numbers. Not that I'm complaining mind you.

The Pershing? Player demand has little to do with actual useage numbers. Relative newcomers (most of them RTS video game players who are used to having it available on the Normandy peninsula) have been asking about it for years. It's the only US "heavy", so at the very least US players will be interested in it just because of the variety that it brings to their lists.

The Pershing also fits because its in the upcoming Remagen book next month.

I think there may be two of us at least.

The T-34s were a good start, IMO better than the PSC offerings and the SUs were a welcome sight, if slightly delayed (I'll be picking some up as soon as I get back to the UK). The Panzer IVs were disappointing in several ways.

Of the unreleased kits only the Panther/Jagpanther kit interests me. I don't have any western allied armies and I've never desired to field more than the two (BF) tigers I already own. I realise that BF have to start selling Shermans in plastic.

Nope couldn't care less about the pershing either. As an "All British All the Time" player I get a bit bored when new directions start up for the line and it is unsurprisingly full of love for everyone else, but especially germany. Was waiting ages for PSC to finally get some brits going and with the Firefly, M5 Half track, Cromwell and Churchhill kits I am now a happier camper. Really would love to see plastics of the EW and MW cruisers, though. Some day it would be nice to see plastics for Italian M11 and M13 tanks as well, but I expect that is something I would regret holding my breath for. Need a bunch of those Italian tanks for my Tobruk forces.

The other good ones will be the Axis and Allies TD kits,But after that i think we will see a influx of Tourney TDs companies with mech infantry.what we need for us Brit players is a good cheap CArrier option,Mg, mortar etc and some good cheap arty.Even some more 1/2 track conversion kits. Also At guns would be cool.

Well us Brit players do have a light in the dark so to speak when it comes to BF's plastics. The plastic M3 half-track sprue in the US Armored Rifle box has the bits for the M5 on the sprue so all they would have make is the infantry sprue for a British Motor Platoon.

Depends if one kit from Battlefront will be cheaper than two from PSC.

But for now PSc is the Answer.I got old V1 Brits from BF.But i do need some tracks.I am using the out of scale Point of Contact models at the moment. But the bad thing about the plastic traxs is that you ned to mount them on base to make them a little more durable.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

The most pressing need for plastic vehicles IMHO is for plastic Jeeps. Nobody does a 15mm plastic jeep, excepting Axis and Allies which do three but barely count as they are random collectable.

Almost every US list and a proportion of the late war British use Jeeps, and Soviets had enough lend lease Jeeps the could use in place of their own vehicles.

Next logical step would be a Kubelwagen/schwimmwagen kit.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Bf practically gives them away,I think jeeps as a kit at this scale would fidgety at this scale.I think BF did them rite as one piece resin cast.

I dont like the one piece resin casts, because I like all or nothing for my vehicles and thus don't want any vehicles on an integral base.

The main chassis of the jeep could be made with wheels part of the side panels, with no separate wheels the main problem with small vehicle kits is solved.

Separate wheels on 15mm vehicles is the problem with the Russian kits PSC sell, The Sd Kfz 222 kits actually need to have the wheels pinned and yet are sold as clip together.

If you are cool with resin jeeps fair play to you, but I am hoping to source plastic ones one way or another.

A plastic jeep released by BF would probably still include the base as it's something that BF does with all of their unarmored vehicles - jeeps, trucks, schwimwagons, etc...

Just a note, PSC doesn't make a Sd Kfz 222 kit but they do sell a kit made by Zvezda. However it does look pretty dire from the YouTube video review that I watched.

And apparently BF does sell some unbased SAS/LRDG jeeps.

The Zvesda 222s a good kit,if a little fiddly to put together. It could do with a command variant (221 or 223) to go with it as well. I certainly never needed to pin the wheels, though I am a 'baser'.

I'm unconvinced there would be much in the way of a saving or benefit with plastic jeeps. FiBs Kubelwagens and Schimmwagens are one pretty good and cheaper than BF.

Good catch. And a quick glance through some items on the store indicates that's not the only one. It turns out the schwimwagon that I mentioned above comes without a base. And the various tracked (or half-tracked) unarmored vehicles also don't come with a base. The latter are typically tractors or odd things like the Opel Maultier (which is a truck that was modified into a half-track for use in Russia).

Odd.

The Zvezda models are what I meant by 'Russian kits', Zvezda being a Russian company (which I couldnt remember the name of when I typed the post) I should have been more clear, I wasnt referring to PSC Soviet miniatures.

I took a look at baseless jeeps, IIRC the Battlefront Intelligence & Recon platoon pack was baseless, but its also discontinued.

I'm in the US and the online store doesn't say anything about them being discontinued and I managed to place them in the cart in the online store.

?

US405 is the stock number I see for the Intelligence and Recon Platoon, and the jeeps in that pack all have bases.

It appears that there is a baseless Jeep pack, though. US410 (the description says three jeeps, even though the title says x2) is Jeeps with no base, while US411 is based Jeeps.

US410 looks like it doesn't have a base to me.

Couldnt remember the exact coding, I did my search for Battlefront baseless jeeps several months ago, was informed they were discontinued. Havent tried since since I saw Skytrek Command Decision miniatures were back.

I might be the only one, but I would love to see a Pz 38(t)/Marder/Hetzer/Grille kit. That chasis spanned the war and I think it would sell well given the applicability in all three eras.

Of course I could be wrong.

KV kit would also be nice.

The one place that they would make huge inroads would be plastic artillery. I don't really care if it is self-propelled or static, it would just be nice to be able to price drop that unit type.
