So I'll be facing against a "Guard" player on the weekend for a single FOC at 2000 points. I do know he has hydra's, vendettas(suck it nerf) and an outflanking platoon in chimera's. I'm short on 250 points and can't think of what else to add. I'll add my list and other models i have for your recommendations, thanks in advance

What i have:
- 2 Wave Serpents
- 10 Guardians
- 6 Warlocks
- 2 farseers
- Eldrad
- DE Archon
- 5 Kabalites
- Fire Prism
- 2 Crimson Hunters
- 5 scythe guard
- 5 cannon guard

I was thinking of adding a crimson hunter as hydras don't have intercept, and a fire prism unless harlequins can take a dedicated transport.

As I've spent a lot of time with the painting and modelling of some models I would prefer to keep the solitare, Harlequins and the Wraithknight.

Jain goes with the harlequins? Harlequins are not very good, but if you want them keep them. Jain is okay with them but I would drop her for points elsewhere.

A major concern is that you only have 2 scoring units. I would at least take those guardians in a serpent. Consider dropping jain zar to add a spiritseer so you can take those cannon guard in a serpent. You could always add those as well, but having more scoring can't hurt.

The hunter is risky, as it can easily take out a vendetta or any hydras, but it is very vulnerable to anti air. With the autarch, the odds are in your favor to have it come on second to pull AA duty, hopefully by then you have shot the hydras. Another option would be to skip on the hunter, minimizing the effectiveness of the hydras.

Prisms are a fantastic choice, as they have a large blast if you see platoon blobs, or an S9 lance to deal with russes.

Consider dropping the exarch's from the spider squads, and making each squad 5 bodies. Use them to drop in and hit side/rear armor. This would pay for the guardain squad and change, letting you buy the serpent for them, a hunter and the prism.
