Perhaps something fresh for the Unforgiven...

Captain Killhammer McFighterson stared down at the surface of Earth from his high vantage point on the bridge of Starship Facemelter. Something ominous was looming on the surface. He could see a great shadow looming just underneath the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, slowly spreading northward. "That can't be good..." he muttered to himself while rubbing the super manly stubble on his chin with one hand. "But... on the other hand..." he looked at his shiny new bionic murder-arm. "This could be the perfect chance for that promotion." A perfect roundhouse kick slammed the ship's throttle into full gear. Soon orange jets of superheated plasma were visible from the space-windshield as Facemelter reentered the atmosphere at breakneck speed.

It's Faeit 212, the rumor website.

His original link came in from Warseer.

There is nothing to report other than an e-mail exchange between a citizen and GW.

GW basically says that the DA FAQ will be up in short order.

Make of it what you will.

Maybe they'll make our flyers actually useful?

Haha, I'm just kidding, they'll raise them by 50 points.

We do live in interesting times when DA players are weighting is it better to have the FAQ or just pretend it never happened with GW taken it down.

Now our force field generator applies inside vehicles and our terminator surge can take a TH/SS again.

You can use the cardboard from the box to make papercraft models of a useful vehicles, just ti the sprues together with some twine or something for when the new edition comes out in a year and all the hot stuff gets beefed and all the crap becomes mediocre and the price goes up on this kit by 50%.

I sent Black Library an e-mail yesterday about the "current updated FAQs" asking why 3 specific 40K FAQs where either missing or they had posted an old version. These are the 3 I asked about,

WARHAMMER40,000 CODEX: CHAOS DAEMONS Official Update Version 1.0, Last updated April 2013
WARHAMMER40,000 CODEX: DARK ANGELS Official Update Version 1.1A, Last Updated April 2013
WARHAMMER40,000 COMPENDIUM: DEATH FROM THE SKIES Official Update Version 1.1, Last Updated April 2013

I got a replay about an hour ago, the reply was "These were an oversight and we will get these rectified as soon as possible. "

That does not sound like a NEW FAQ, just that they are finally going to post version 1.1A as soon as possible.

How on earth did that manage to be an oversight?!

Were they stored somewhere else in the bowels of GW HQ, beyond the reach of mere Black Library staff? Did nobody seriously stop and just do a quick check to make sure everything had been checked off the list, uploaded and was displaying correctly?

They really just don't care.

Unless, of course, it's somehow been misfiled.

I am The Fury. The flames of my rage will incinerate you. I came back from space. As I returned, I had one vision. The world set ablaze. And do you know what I saw there? (he aims his flamethrower upwards and incinerates a group of bats) Fury! A great and terrible Fury at being alive. Now you're going to feel the scorching heat of that horrible blackness.

I must be obtuse or just plain missing something, where in the hell does it sat a DW Term SGT can not take TH/SS? Is it in the vanished FAQ? More and more I am glad 40K is my shelved army. Maybe somewhere around 9th edition they will come up with fresh and balanced rule set, not gonna hold my breath on that one though.

It's in the faq that used be up and reason is that they changed the wording from replace all their weapons to replace PF&SB. So effectively making it so the sergeant couldn't change his load out.

So the FAQ made things worse then? Now that's backwards.

It wasn't really game breaking it was just annoying for people that put hard work in their LC or TH&SS sergeants just to have them rip them off.
