I recently started playing 40K, And i recently bought a squad of terminator knights.

Since they need a deathwing transport i also got a landraider crusader for them.
To me they seem very good at what they do, close combat,

shall i take out troops? Vehicles? or what?.. What are your tips and pointers for these guys?..
I have one game under my wing, and i havent tried them out yet.. And i just want to know if they are as good as they seem?

Of course my seargent has flail of the unforgiven.

And my big question is, Are they even worth it?..

They are worth it for the cool factor if nothing else. Arthurian Knights in Space.

In terms of usage, the LRC is a good start, I'd add a Terminator Chaplain if you've got/can get one, as he makes the most of their attacks. The strategy with them is fairly simple, really:

You've got S10 AP2 at I4 for 1 turn, so point them at the biggest, baddest thing and drive towards it, and when you're close enough, unleash the Knights, activate Smite Mode, and kill it to death. After that, try and find units you can easily 'bully' without taking too much damage in return.

Hmm, I havent looked much at a chaplain really, I was thinking Librarian at first, but i may change my mind, Gonna read the codex tonight for sure

If i'm not mistaken a chaplain can also have terminator armour right?.

And i actually had the same thought, Make the knights go berserk on the biggest baddest thing they see .)

With DA, a Chaplain or Libby will suffice, as you can get Prescience which has the same effect (re-rolling attacks). The different is that the Chaplain's ability is automatic whereas the Libby has to roll, and while it's not likely to fail, it might. Personally, I'd rather go with the automatic version, and yes, they can both take Termie armour.

Also, didn't see you were new here. Welcome to Dakka.

Or you can drive them from one easy prey to the other and slaughter squads of GEQ for the pure fun of it, while something else keeps the enemy heavy hitters busy (such as las-cannons).

It's also worth noting that the Deathwing Knights have the Fortress of Shields rule. Keep them in base to base contact with each other, and they will receive +1 Toughness from the man stood next to them. They effectively become Toughness 5! So be aware of this when you move the unit on the battlefield.

You could make a pretty awesome set of HQ models from the Deathwing Knights box, to be honest.

As Termies take up 2 slots in a transport, you're only going to want 2 more+a character, leaving you 3 models, and you could build a badass Chaplain, Librarian and Belial (captain) with the huge amount of parts in that kit. It really is a gold mine for Dark Angel bits.
