Nice work on the walls and all the token/marker things.

Good job on the graffiti.
Cam' did do the perfect tutorial for it.
Looks to be enough, as a lot of graffiti can overpower the rest of the model. Do you want it to be a wall with some graffiti on it (occasional vandalism of a still in use area), or a wall of graffiti (long derelict area).

Thanks! It was tempting to go crazy but I decided to stick with one piece on each side. I would love a bit of graffiti that's for Odessa (one of the gangs in Gotham), if that's doable?

You're on the right lines, btw. The other DCU specific ones are Demonz, a gotham gang from the 90s comics, and Section 8 who are the world's worst superhero team, also based in Gotham. They feature Defenestrator (brings own window), Dog-Welder (self-explanatory), Friendly Fire (he's lethal, to his allies), Bueno Eccelente (he fights crime with the power of perversion), Jean de Baton-Baton (he is... French!), Phlemgem (can produce enormous quantities of bodily fluid), Shakes (he, well, shakes) and their leader 6-Pack (he's drunk).

The square with a line through it is the mahjong tile Chun (sometimes known as red dragon) although it more accurately means the Animal Order, which seems fitting as a symbol for all the animal themed villains.

Oh, and the black and white symbol is a yakuza sign, which crops up in the DCU periodically.

Couple more pics.
A better shot of the trees:

I shall be dotting owls all over, oh yes

And Grates, set 2:

I'm debating what writing to add to these ones, I'm thinking GDWS (Gotham Dept of Waste and Sanitation) or something? Any suggestions (bear in mind I no longer have the letters OTHAM! to spare)?
Cheers,
Graven.

Oh, they ate useless, which is partly why the bat tolerates them
There is also the glory that is BAYTOR who is vaguely worm like demon with a toothed mouth that just yells BAYTOR and works as a barman in an Irish pub. Kind of a proto Hodor. He manages to be completely hilarious. Shakes kinda saves the entire dcu at one point, dying in the process. They're background characters from Ennis's Hitman. Highly entertaining and recommended.

Sounds like DCs version of the Great Lakes Avengers, who are similarly useless.

Mr Immortal: Suicidal Depressive who is entirely immortal and fated to be the last living being in the universe.
Flatman: Elasticity powers like Mr Fantastic, but is always two-dimensional. If he stands side on you can't see him!
Doorman: can make portals... But only though his own body.
Big Bertha: Can gain or lose any amount of body fat.
Squirrel Girl: Ability to communicate with squirrels, martial arts skills, has taken down Dr Doom, Thanos, Ultron, Modok and basically anyone who's anyone...

Grand! I found another strip of Secret Weapon letters, too incomplete but usable - 3 Gs!

So I got my Starter:

These are BIG models - proper 35mm, in fact Poison Ivy is close to 40mm. The plants are nice too, very Audrey 2. I also got a classic Adam West batman, which is just a lovely model
However, to run Ivy properly, I'm going to need more plants, and obligingly Knight doesn't sell them separately.

So I rummaged and found this lot:

That plastic hand/mouth (bottom right) will be particularly handy! (buhdum-tch! ) so need to find some more of them

It occurs to be that the various brass etch basing kits and the Catachan jungle warriors both used to have some great plant bits soooooooooooooooooooooooo begging here, would you be able, my lovelies, to cast an eye over your bits boxes and see if you could find me any (or "mouth-hands")? You'll receive my eternal gratitude, as well as being turned into a zombie plant slave. Now there's an offer.

Anyway, assembled, with minimal clean-up, and an interloper made from chaos spawn bits old and new:

Funny working with metal again! The only one that needs more work (gs etc) is the Creeper, the one with big leaves lying down at the moment. Making more spore plants (on the left) is actually going to be the tricky bit. For that, I think I'll need the big catachan leaves.

So, thoughts? Does the kitbash work (obviously that also needs a little gsing also)?

Many thanks, mes freres (et soeurs),
graven

What I find useful is the plastic plants you can find for Aquariums. They come in all types and colors and you get a lot of quantity depending on the type or quality.

As a bonus you can use them for basing and other terrain projects.

Do you have any of the GW plants from the same set that you have the buildings from? You could assemble them with the leave parts upside down and paint them as one big gaping mouth or just use the brown trunks to be more like grasping hands.

Sure:

Yeah, she's a foxy lady. Not sure how to do her base though, I was thinking like plants almost spilling from her step, but I dunno...

Nah, sadly, this is the scrapings of my bitsbox. Very sci fi, and very depleted.

Actually I'm okay for mouth parts, it's the leaves really I need! Could you send me a pic?

Bit more progress so you can see the Creeper (big leaves guy):

^that is a verrry good idea... in fact when i started in the realms of GW crack... then the first idea i had for plants was playmobil trees and stuff...i was packed full with ebay acutions... but i thought better about it and didn´t buy in a frenzy^^
by the way... i think adamsouza made convincing trees from kitchen sponges...the scrubby side of them...

Anyway, to finish the sporadic and rather over-excited day, some basing:

Ivy's not attached to her base yet, as I want to embellish it further with greenery, but you get the idea.

Why is Batman standing on a horizontal brick wall?
Cos he's 60s Batman, and when you were a kid ADMIT IT you believed he was walking up a wall.

Hah, brilliant! I really think Adam West should have the ability to scale walls... Really, really slowly, and only if you can produce a good enough 'guest celebrity' impression!

For basing your plants and friends, a cheap solution might be a sachet or two of these might be worth getting:
http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/fine-leaves-dark-green-sample-pack.html

Email them for a more accurate shipping cost, the automated calculator says two will cost £3.50 ish to ship, but it's actually about 75p within the UK.

I'm getting some for my current project, so once they arrive I can let you know if they're any good?

You can also make medium to large leaves from a sandwich-bag tie ...sandwiched... between two layers of tissue paper, glued together with PVA. They remain flexible and posable even after paint.

Awesomesauce! Folks, you have to go check this out! And good tips

So digging for stuff and bothering people yields results!

My former minion, now Gw staffer, found me this -

Age of Sigmar = much terrain being retired from store usage. If you're in with your local Blackshirts, worth asking.
To be fair, I am giving him 2 rt era bloodthirsters that are older than him
but that's in exchange for pretty much free range rummaging in one of the staff bits boxes I want to somehow add a flat section of roof to it but no idea where or how...?

Began work on my Titan Creeper - I want to be able to distinguish between the different upgrades my plants get so cut up an old old old metal chaos spawn.
Ran out of gs though :( but you get the idea?
Also, found a 1/32 scale camper from the kids that seems of good scale.

So you want to add a flat roof, you say? Hacksaw the top off and replace or build a fitted cover. I think in either case you may have to trim some of the spiky details off and add them back on when the roof is done.

Don't replace the roof instead build a widget that will fit over the top of the ridge line and come down the slope of the roof and then angle outward to make a flat area for your figs to stand on. Bonus points if it's all done in clear plastic.

I think I'll probably leave the van unaltered. Seems pretty cool as is, and having a peace bus in a warzone tickles me

Building up a flytrap top half over the existing eyes and nose. Not a toupee. >(

Birch pods lead to madness I'm going to try making my own flowers, actually, going to get the wife to teach me with sugarpaste and then attempt to scale down.

Actually, I'm thinking of putting scaffolding around it. That gives me structure, height, and feels... Fluffy, I guess.

It has also spurred on another idea for a flat roofed building: a vault, maybe even a cryogenic vault - a box, basically, but a... cool one thoughts?

A productive day today, but not in a p&m way. Built a triple wardrobe instead kids spent saved pocket money on lego Scooby Doo and Gotham Jail respectively (kudos to the little one for his excellent choice!)

I did get a bit more gs done, and had a massive fight with brass etch lettering - made a T, painfully, as I only had one left, and promptly lost the one I *did* have

Still, we are getting there. My game planned for 4th is delayed :( but that means I'll at least be able to get on with the gang

Hopefully going to pick up a K Wing for my Rebels this week, assuming it's finally out, and likely Harley and Catwoman for my Gotham Sirens.
