Gabe is back, and edited to be as professional and as close to 'Codex' quality.

Also included here and in Gabriel Angelos' Profile is a version of Chapter Tactics: Blood Ravens created by yours truly. I've tried to balance it appropriately with the other chapter tactics and fluff.

Chapter Tactics (Blood Ravens):
Forseen Assault: All models in a Blood Ravens detachment gain the Scout and Counter Attack universal special rules.

Feel free to download and use these rules. Just make sure your opponent agrees to play against this before, because this isn't even Forge World stuff.
Questions and critiques are welcome, as these rules are constantly being improved upon.

EDIT: Chapter Tactics and Profile Updated, 8/28/14

I like these rules; simple and effective. I might suggest making Angelos' Smash attacks auto-inflict Instant Death on 6s to wound instead of reducing armour save, it's less bookkeeping.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Thanks for the support. I'll think about ID, but making that the bonus for the to wound roll of 6 would unbalance him IMO. Already with his smash attacks Gabe IDs anything less than GDs, Wraith-constucts, or Tyranid/Tau MCs. Adding that would right and proper make him an auto-take in games where he could be taken. Also given how Smash attacks are calculated before A modifiers (charge bonus, Magic Chapter Banner etc.) means that he could spam 3-5 smash attacks, giving him a decent shot a ID.

He'd be less reliable, less durable, and he wouldn't hit quite so hard as a Nemesis Dreadknight at a similar pricepoint, plus he wouldn't be as fast. I don't think it'd be too silly.

I like the Chapter Tactics, well within the curve of existing ones, and Angelos is fairly priced when compared to other HQs at the same price point, but I do agree that generally speaking, modifying armour saves is clunky and likely won't come into effect. If he's in CC with someone, hitting them with 4 St10 Ap2 hits, does modifying the foe's armour even matter? Giving him a single ID attack, ala Sicarius would allow him to make that "hail mary" attack on a Wraithlord or T10 Daemon Cheese, or perhaps give the weapon a bit of a buff against Daemon saves. It's supposed to be a daemonhunter weapon, say, anything with the Daemon of Daemon Of special rule re-roll successful invulnerable saves.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

You guys are right, I'll change that up soon, I'm not sure about the re-roll invulns, is that what Daemonbane is?

Also, just to add flavor and to make the army more unique, would bringing regular Librarian Dreadnoughts (not Furioso) seem like something the Blood Ravens will do, given that the Chief Librarian and Chapter Master slots are concurrent, and the Chapter has an above average number of psykers?

Maybe? Mastery 1 Psykers in place of some Sergeants (sort of how the Red Scorpions run Apothecaries in place of Sergeants) might be another angle on the psyker-heavy Chapter aspect.

A ML1 psyker might be a bit much per squad, it can do a lot more than a mere apothecary.

Perhaps a minor force-org modification, where you can take 2 or 3 librarians per HQ slot, rather than just the one, ala Heralds and I think Sanguinary Priests. Not that matters much with no force org and all that, there's also some ambiguity as to what GW intends with psychic powers, as the BRB claims all Imperial factions can use divination, not making distinctions between them.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

I made an edit to the profile and Chapter Tactics, to bring it into line with the 7th edition being released recently. The armor reduction has been traded for re-rolling successful invulns if the victim is a daemon. And the Tactics have been given an addition, up to 3 librarians can be taken in a single slot (similarly as Heralds for Chaos Daemons).

Spoiler:
Chapter Tactics (Blood Ravens):
Forseen Assault: All models in a detachment with Chapter Tactics gain the Scout and Counter Attack universal special rules. [Note: Even Vehicles without the Chapter Tactics special rule make use of Scout and Counter Attack.]

Coven of Diviners: Codex: Space Marines Librarians in a detachment with this Chapter Tactic may also roll on the Divination table, along with the other psychic disciplines already allowed to Librarians.

Also, detachments with this Chapter tactic may include up to 3 Librarians. This selection uses 1 HQ slot, but the Librarians are otherwise treated as separate units.

This could very easily end up OP, but I always thought a cool chapter trait for the blood ravens would be one that allows them to purchase relics from ANY army book, at the expense of counting their allies as being one notch of loyalty worse.

For those still interested in Blood Ravens, here's an update to Angelos!

Changes: Changed Smash attacks number from half-current to one only. Should still be enough for most vehicles.
