That's because there won't be any. Its set during the 2nd battle for Armageddon so it will be IG, Marines,Orks and nothing else. There may well be DLC that adds other races though.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

They could simply forge their narrative and put some Necrons in. Hurrr.

Well, that's boring.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

No, the Malcador and the Grot tanks were introduced after Epic was killed off.

Agreed. Darn IG.
It should have been something like CSMvSMvOrks.

I have been following this for some time. The basics on Slytherines site are that it is turn based, uses the panzer corp engine as a base but highly modified, and not too much else. There will be the Slamander's chapter of Space Marines however. Here is a link to their forums and the annauncement post.
So not Final Liberation (as so many of us wanted) but more like Warhammer 40K Panzer Corp. However, the devs have said there is a lot more in this game than just 40K Panzer Corp.
Thanks,

40K, SW:Armada, Bolt Action, Legions Imperialis(maybe…)
Where's that Titan game made by the guys who only made Facebook games that was one of the first to be trade marked? Or is it actually that long of a dev cycle to be worth checking out.
I await the glorious and awesome, but most of all purely imaginative Turn-based strategy RPG game where you play as those guys who control titans (been away from 40k too long) as you begin in a knight and form a legio cybernetica and eventually control an imperator. With a chaos and loyalist campaign of course.
I have to admit, as much as I'm looking forward to this based on the concept alone, I am worried about the graphics. The charm in Final Liberation was that every unit was animated, that you had infantry running across the battlefield, digging trenches, or firing their guns. What I fear here is that we'll just have a bunch of fancy pictures that will slide across a beautifully drawn map and occasionally bump into each other, reducing the numbers below the graphic.
This might work a lot better if it'd actually look like grand strategy with icons instead of models, but the attention to detail might, ironically, work against the game in that it hits some sort of uncanny valley between "not abstract enough" and "not immersive enough".
The Panzer General crowd might be used to such graphics, but will it actually fly with the 40k fans? The worst case scenario is that this game will bomb because a lot of people think it "doesn't look good enough", and how some marketing genius will take this as "evidence" that turn-based combat and 40k don't fit together.
tl;dr: Where's my sequel to Final Liberation? Will still give this a try, though. Slitherine is a neat little studio, and I've enjoyed several of their games in the past.
Also, judging from the Panzer Corps YT videos, at least the muzzle flash and explosions look neat.
On a sidenote, why would anyone go for the Second War of Armageddon when you could just as well go for the way more interesting Third? I suppose we can hope this will be an expansion to the main game, though. Judging from responses on the Slitherine forums, they at least do seem willing to add more stuff later on.

It would be kinda cool to defend Hades hive though...
Just a colossal defensive scenario in a massive urban territory.
