You don't have painting pants?
You should really get a painting kilt; helps protect the chair underneath too!

For Valentines day this year, my girlfriend made me a tray for carting around my minatures once I have them out of their transport. It's sturdy, laquored and emblazened with phoenix images (including the one I use as my forum avatar). I love it.

My ex gf played Warhammer fantasy. She wasn't really into 40k. When we broke up she walked off with most of my Wood Elf army which I was rather pissed off about. I actually took a break from Warhammer about that time too. Just started up again last year.

My wife really takes no issue with my 40K hobby, although she will take issue with it if I try and game every Saturday. However, she did by me the CoD boxset when it came out for Father's Day a couple years ago. I still have bits from that set I use.
Overall, she's pretty cool about it.

My wife got me back INTO this hobby. I had made a pretty complete evacuation. I wasn't actually playing whe I left, just doing some collecting and painting and reading. She finds some BA devastators painted Blood Angels Orange in a box one day. "What's this?" "The biggest time-suck since Evercrack." says I thinking that THAT will scare her off it. 4 months later I arrive at my local FLGS, looking to buy a "dreadnaught". The owner refuses to sell it to me. I was confused and edging into irritated, he tells me to go talk to my SO. Turns out, it's my birthday, she'd been in there earlier that day, and she has bought me about 30 odd pounds of marines for my BA. My friends HOWLED for MONTHS about this little lost chick coming into the store asking if she could buy a "doughnut". They kindly pointed her toward the "dreadnaught" she was mispronouncing, and laughed like a gaggle of hyenas.
MONTHS.

Yeah, if I didn't know him IRL, I wouldn't believe he had a g/f either and would demand proof

Ha ha, very funny. In either case, here is the tray with a jetbike on it for scale.

A great retort there, nice!
My good lady refers to the hobby as 'Wartool' (or inserts what ever tool other than hammer comes to her brain). She appreciates the creative side of it but as a fan of Primark and making clothes she lives in lala land as far as prices go....... I knew the separate bank accounts was the way to go! Score - but Im up s%$t creek if/when I run out of excuses not to marry

My wife totally supports me in my hobby (well, outside of banning me from FW - a ban I'll happily abide by since the abortive valkyrie incident).
She's bought me miniatures cases for gifts in the past. She lets me use our linked card for making gaming purchases over the net.
She sometimes follows me into stores (when they aren't full of rank munchkins) and will find something she likes, hand it to me and tell me I'm painting it up for her (last two were Bret manorhouse and High Elf Lion Chariot - the first has been painted, still working on the latter).

I got my wife to paint a couple of minis with, which she enjoys when she has the time. The knight is her first miniature. Other than that, she's just resigned that the 2 boys are going to take after me regarding figures and gaming.

My boyfriend always tells me that I'm the only girl he knows who plays with toy soldiers. Then he goes and listens to "soul music" and I shrug and continue painting.
I always find this role-reveral kinda funny because it's almost always guys who play wargames.
