In progress should be fine. I think I submitted a picture of
my previous model with a little bit of paint on it before I
started, and it was fine.

That makes many sad in my head... :(

Now I'm going to have to choose one. Well, I only actually have one of them finished so far, so depending on how much time I get over the next week, it may not be an issue

Just sent mine in as well. I can't wait for the voting to begin., if for nothing else to see all the old school stuff pulled from the bitz boxes.

Old skool, doesn't mean the figure needs to be old, right! Use your imaginations A space Marine converted lovingly to MK3 armour, studded shoulder pad, with an old skool bolter with the clip at the very front etc. would be very old skool. So would a a scratch built squat.

Bugger that I missed this before leaving as I have nothing that counts as old skool with me at the moment.

You've definitely hit a good point ^_^. Old School is what you think it is! Not what we say it is!

Entries are starting to trickle in ^_^.

The flood gates will start opening up soon I'm sure ^_-. If you haven't finished up (like me >.>!), then get that last bit of paint on your models! Still plenty of time to get your entries in!

Entries are Due at Midnight Central time this Thursday!

Quick question. What happens if the winner is out of town when the winner is announced?

We will PM and wait for the winner to respond.

I'll put a month as the limit we'll wait for a response.

Will there be an award for the person entering the oldest school model they can find? Cue someone entering some pre-slotta stuff from the late 70s...

Haha, there won't actually be an award for it, but it would definitely give the contest some street cred ^_-.

Hello!

Long time lurker here, but decided to register for this contest.

I practically finished my entry, but then I reread the guidelines and realised that I forgot the WIP shot (started painting this morning thinking I had to hurry, so I forgot all about it.)

Anyway, good luck to all contestants!

Cheers
Jase

Entries are due midnight CST Thursday, right? So tomorrow, yes?

I'm just double checking because I'm trying to salvage my entry from a bad batch of sealer.

Trust me, nothing is cooler than 8ft tall Werewolf Space Vikings!

Man that sucks! Well, you should post pics of your models in the forums anyway.

There's always next time, too .

Grey_Death can chime in here if I'm wrong but I understood the deadline to mean that you have all of July to turn your submission in. Meaning you technically have until 11:59pm (and 59 seconds) on July 31st to submit.

Putting the finishing touches on my entry later today... Then I just have to hope that this pieced-together-from-old-spare-parts computer that I'm stuck with at the moment (My PC went up in smoke day before yesterday :( ) can handle sorting out the pics...

Almost unbelievably, I'm actually almost done with my entry. Just have to finish basing, then varnish, then pics!

Pretty sure I'm going to get owned, though. I totally just slapped this thing together in two days.
