Those look great man! You really nailed the look of the renegades I think; not just guardsmen with naughty armor paint, but not crazy over the top. Just right!

I am going to be referring to this thread when working on my own vile heretics! Thank you sir!

As always mate, fantastic stuff.

It's great getting to see all of those amazing and well themed armies you have produced again, I can recall admiring them in WD and dreaming of one day being able to have some of my own work grace its pages.

It seems we both take inspiration from the same sources, novels and the better pieces of background material.

Also, good luck with the new baby, the nursery is looking like a room fit for a little king (or queen?) though I think the green could use some more highlights on the edges to really bring it out and add contrast!

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Dante

Squad 2 looks up to par -- meaning very good.
I love the way you work a lot of diversity and individuality into the troopers, yet preserve a coherent look and feel to the unit and (so far) the army.

Hi guys

Thanks for the encouragement, I'll see what I can do about the highlighting on the room CMDante ; )

I have another squad under way, this one with a bit more individuality and aggression. Hopefully they'll be done by Monday.

Hi everyone, here's another update on the Pact.

First off, I must say that it's incredibly exciting to see the awesome flurry of hobby activity here on the P&M Blogs section. There are dozens of great blogs that have started recently and are very cool to keep checking through.

Secondly, here are some of the new troopers I've been working on.

And finally, here's an update on my Stalk Tank

There are a few more pictures on my blog: http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com/

Nice use of the Baneblade hammer on the trooper. On the second set of three with one talking into the vox - where's that head from? The masks are looking great, btw!

Ahh... love me some dave taylor update. Those riflemen are great!!! that vehicle looks fantastic as well. Although I fear for its safety on the tabletop. It looks like if one errant D6 hit it, it may take a penetrating hit IRL.

I love it despite its fragility, or perhaps because of its fragility.

Excellent work again!

more! more! more!

Feel free to PM me to talk about your list ideas....

Thanks for the comments guys.

@ Death - the head for the vox guy is one of the flagellant heads, I gave him a kind of Phantom of the Opera mask so that you could still see his shouting mouth and awesome scar.

@ Shep - I fear for it's safety in transport. I'm still not sure how I'll get that to work well ; )

Great update. I've had an image of the Blood Pact in my head since I first read about them - years ago now - and you've brought them to life as well if not better than I'd imagined them. Nice job.

Really inspired work on the stalk tank... I wonder if using some steel wire or brass-rod from the body/thorax, down through the limbs then drilled into some sort of scenic base (perhaps MDF board) would help hold them together for transit.
Whatever you come up with, the gaming world can only hope you find a good solution for taking them on the road so more of us get a chance to face off against the 'Pact.

Mate, those new troopers are looking incredibly good! Some excellent poses too, love the one with the hammer, in fact I love them all!

Looking forward to the stalk tank developing further and getting some paint, any chance of a scale shot?

Whats up next?

Thanks guys, I'll keep them coming ; )

@ Gitsmack - nice idea for the transport concerns, I'll see what I can cobble together. It will go on the road at some stage.

@ CMDante - thanks mate, I wanted to throw a bit more variety in there, particularly inspired by your axe-wielding crazy. I'll get a scale shot of the stalk tank into the next update.

Cheers

Hi guys

Thanks for the encouragement.

To answer your questions ghostmaker, the drums are cut from a tube with a rod inside, kind of like the way I built the backpacks. Once the glue has dried I cut a small section of the tube away and glued it to the autogun. As for the DKoK guy, that whole model is a Forgeword "Show Only" model that I picked up at a Games Day the year before last. If you can make it to a Games Day this year then you should be able to grab one.

Hi guys

It's been a busy week but I've managed to get another ten Pacters finished.

Here are a couple of pics. As usual, there are more pics on my blog: http://davetaylorminiatures.blogspot.com/

I hope you like them.

Dude, these pics are sick! Just outstanding work. Please post more pics. After reading the Gaunt's Ghosts books, then seeing these models....wow. You really have outdone yourself. Are you going to make a Sabbot model? (it would make a great objective piece).

Buy Imperial War Bonds!!!

Great stuff as usual mate.

Do you have any of the named BP characters planned?

I was contemplating doing a couple of representations of Sek and Gaur since I don't really have time to do an army or anything more than a handful of regular troopers. More than happy to share ideas again if your planning any yourself.

Cheers,

Dante

Thanks guys, good question about character models. I probably won't do a Sabbat model, but I've been thinking about a Sagittar Slaith and possibly a Pater Sin (Sabbat Martyr version), but definitely a brood or two of Loxatl.

@ CMDante, I'd be happy to bounce ideas back and forth on any projects. Do you happen to remember the thread where I know I've seen pictures of Loxatl models someone made that are just like the images from the Sabbat Worlds Crusade book?

Cheers
