Hi Pyriel! i did some photoshop to what i think would look good on the shoulder ,
the shape is off , but you get the idea . ( it supposed to be wings lol )

Not in my book. Segmented pads are supposed to be a little rough (being old and battered).

As for "bagel horns" - they look so because they do not have horn patterns - but instead "bagel" stripes. See http://icons-pe.wunderground.com/data/wximagenew/w/wymidwife/32.jpg (or similar picture) for inspiration.

When doing letters I would suggest doing the inprints much more shallow - then you might avoid the GS getting bumpy and roundish.

IMHO the sculpts are really good (and not "ugly" in any way) - but due to minor flaws on most of them they are not of "resin master" quality - thus "not ready for mass production (yet)".
Look at the clean lines of the right pad in your http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/Pyriel/gr/ex.jpg image - and compare this to the fugly and uneven arch around the angel (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/Pyriel/gr/DW3-1.jpg)....

This said, fix some of the flaws and they will do fine.

Look great. But can I please have proper salamander pads? I want the exact salamander symbol sculpted as a raised area that's one consistent height. Basically I want a 3-D decal. :p

I've gotta say, as much as I like what you are all doing, I always feel like the pads are way OTT. The symbols look to thick coming off the shoulder pad.

I´ll bear that in mind for upcoming stuff. Probably scale down a bit on the whole 3D aspect of the icons.

What about a more form-fitting version of the 1st company symbol you've done for the sally termies shown below? I'd love to see that symbol done just like you have it now but have it a bit thinner so it isn't protruding off the face of the pads as much. It'd also be nice to get a regular power armour version of it so I can give it to my 1st company veterans. Hey, if you could do a version I can stick on dreadnoughts and tanks I'd be impressed too!



In fact, the symbol on the top doors of your salamander style rhino kit would be fantastic to have on a normal shoulder pad

Those terminator pads are not really available, Pyriel did them for hisself and me, but they are pretty much a direct copy of GW Art (nono).
