I got into WHFB rather impulsively.
I had ordered three razorbacks for an army I'm putting together for an upcomeing tournement. I was at the register getting ready to pay for everything. The owner of the store says to me, if you buy the new WHFB rulebook and a batallion box I'll give you 25% off your entire order. I'm now the proud owner of an Empire batallion I have yet to play a game with.

Looks like my 72 colour Vajello set is here!
If I see a Baneblade on ebay going for under £40, or any battleforce for that matter, I feel compelled to bid on it. Lucky I've got enough self restraint to impose limits on myself, although I've gathered an impressive about of "items you didn't win" in such a short space of time!

Probably the masque.
I had had a spirited argument with a GW employee on the fact I didn't like the plastic daemonettes, or any of the new daemon releases, and that I had preferred the metal ones. I then ended up buying the Masque. Never did anything with it, so Im honestly unsure of why I got it...

Pfft! Is that all.
I did a Forge World order that was a Baneblade (back when they only came in resin), Stormblade, 3 Manticores, 4 complete Vanquishers, 1 complete Russ Annihilator, 1 complete Russ Executioner, complete Enclosed Basilisk, 3 Cyclops Demo Vehicles and a Bombard.
Paying that off took... a while.

I most impulsive buy was my first kit form GW after being pressured by my friend and panting a LoTR goblin, It was a box of Uruk hai and some paints. My next impulsive buy was the Balin and Honour Guard kit. This was a few years ago.
My more recent buys have been a techmarine when i bought my servitors off a different friend, I also ended up leaving with a Land Raider crusader for AUS$ 20, it was badly glued, missing the bolters but I thought I would use it as a looted tank or a battlewagon in the ork ary I never started. It was a great deal but I sure as hell didn't need it.

My friend was coaxing me to start a new army, and I had always liked the idea of nids. So when he was online buying stuff for his new BA army, he asked if I wanted anything. I ended up, 2 weeks later, with 2 battleforces of nids. The worst thing is that it happened again 2 months later. out of the 152 models I have made from the boxes, I have painted only 31 models.
Another story. Ages ago a new magazine for LotR was released with GW miniatures. The first issue was sold for $5 Australian, and came with a sprue of 12 goblins warriors. Seeing this, I begged my parents and saved up enough to buy 6 sets. 72 goblins later I think I have primed maybe a handful. Later on in the set, I got every copy despite going for 3 times the first copies price, was another goblin sprue. So now I have 84 of the stupid things and really don't like playing LotR.
My friend is far worse though. When BA was released, he picked up his copy of the codex, went online and ordered 6 boxes of Death Company, Land Raider Redeemer, 2 Assault squads, 2 Tactical squads, Devastator squad, a couple of Baal Predators and 3 vindicators. In the space of a month, his new BA army now dwarfs the size of my DA. And I have been collecting and playing for 14 years.

Hi all! My most impulsive buy was when I scoured Hawaii for all the old Slann models I could find before they were transformed into the Lizardmen army.
Lizardmen are very cool, but the cannibal Aztec tree frogs were so neat!!! Oh well...life goes on.
I think the most extravagant buy I ever made was a whole unit of Repanse de Lyonesse models to represent my grail knights. Pricey, but not as much as poor Vampire Count players pay for their Blood Knights I suppose.
Be well, be blessed!

My most impulsive buy was almost the entire 40k section of the store I used to work at when they shut their doors. It cost me a cool $3000 but I walked away with over $4500 worth of product due to my discount, which I knew I would never get again.
I didn't do a lot of looking as I grabbed stuff off the shelves though, and somehow ended up with 3 thunderfire cannons, lol!

I just won on eBay a Dreadnought and a Terminator squad all for a total of $31.
I happened to be browsing around, I'm not entirely sure why, but I saw the auctions and their low bids and thought 'why not?' I put in a max bid of $25 on each and before I knew it I won them both.
I don't even know wtf I'm going to do with them honestly.

so many impulsive buys, but the biggest was a FW Warhound Titan. I was on holiday in Nottingham and decided to drop into Warhammer World, the second the missus' back was turned I had whipped out my wallet and parted with best part of £300.
