Scarper wrote:Great stuff, theocd! I love the riot shields. Not the basing I would have expected for the underhive though What are the rules for cyber-mastiffs like in-game? They look like they could be a lot of fun!

I didn't have enough proper shields and I though this gave them a different look.
At the time I bought them before I new about Necromunda, I just thought "40K cops, nice" so I based them as the rest of my IG army, namely flock. One day I will update them to something urban but that's a way off.
Mastiffs are M 6" WS 4 BS - S 5 T 4 W 1 I 3 A 1 Ld - Come equipped with Teethe and Carapace Armour with Infra Goggles, Photo-Visor and respirator, they don't pay the initiative penalty fo wearing Carapace Armour. They ignore flesh wounds, must stay within 18" of the handler (whilst the dog's alive, the handler cannot be captured) and if the dog dies, it is replaced before the next game. Basically, as Enforcers only ever take small gangs unless massively out numbered, I generally hide in a corner and send the dog out to attack, he loves the taste of juves, people assume it charges 8" so they move just out of its range and then try to shoot it next turn, by which time it has their guts for garters.

This is not my gang, but I did build and paint them for a client from bits provided, I will post a few of my favorite members:

Every model has multiple magnets inside of the wrists, and some have magnets on the back so that the weapons are swappable. I paitned them for a Dakka user so if he wishes to post full pictures of his gang in action I am sure he will.

(edit: also, the bolt pistol mod in the first picture, I absolutely loved the way it came out and was so tempted to build an alternate and keep that one for myself)

Cheers for the rundown, theOCD! Cyber-mutts sound pretty fun, and I like your vicious tactics Didn't know that 'no capturing the handler' rule, and I really like it! Very Greyfriars Bobby

@Norsehawk - Really characterful stuff! Some quality greenstuff work too, it takes a little while to work out the original parts. They look like they have great personality, though I have to ask - were the names yours, or the client's?

The names were made up of some suggestions by myself and some by my client, for example, Sneaky Pete (who has an alternate head which is Tau with joke glasses and nose) Lady Killer, and a few others are my suggestions, Fancy Philip and a few others are his suggestions.

I will say, the hardest thing was getting the rifle arms to line up between models so that guns were easily swappable. Pistols were dead easy.

Off the top of my head, there are tau bodies/legs, big mix of heads from scouts to IG, to dark eldar with trimmed ears, arms from scouts/ig and various fantasy hands that I had spare to hold things like daggers. Also used some of the extra necromunda weapon sprues that were available when you could still order ANYTHING from bitsorder.

Hey everyone! Just a quick bump for this thread - figured it would have been long enough by now for there to be some new necro goodness out there!

Just to stay on topic, here's a couple more greens for my WiP Post-apoc ex-penal gangers, the QA:

Raston, ex-PDF and second in command

Sidekick, driver and former courier

Branan, Scout and guide.

Colm, one of the heavies and somewhat of a pyromaniac

I know there's a ton of amazing necro stuff out there that hasn't been shown off on Dakka yet, so let's see it! Other people's work is the best inspiration there is, so let's get it out there

Cheers, and hope you like
Scarp

NICE! One of the most unique Scavvy gangs I've seen, while still being true to the official minis.

I'm curious, is "Fallout" armed with a light mortar?

Cheers!

Haha yeah! Those last 3 dudes are just incase I get lucky and roll "specialist" on the advancement table...its actually a grenade launcher but I thought a home-made mini mortar would be more "Scavvy-esque". However those 'auto fail' any ammo rolls and as Scavvies need to test for ammo on a roll of a 1 and a 6 thats only a 4/6 chance it'll even work plus with a BS of 2, aimed shots aren't likely either....its pretty much pointless haha

Thank but they be lead ones, yes thats right LEAD not white metal thats how old they are.
They all have a home in my IG army. The head gannger Priss "Bolter" Heart is the regiments comander. the lasgun totting girls are in my vet squad and the juve is the bodie guard of Priss. Just need to strip the heavy stubber girl and repaint her in my IG colours then she will count as my Harker

Here is an un-converted Orlock Gang I painted up for my brother as a christmas present, Ill be one of a few gangs that are going to be taking part in a necromunda campaign im starting in a few weeks time. Ive got a Delaque, Escher and Cawdor gang waiting to get painted and a few hire guns and scum to mess around with too.

Absolutely love necromunda and cant wait to get back playing it after at least a 12 year gap of not playing!

Norsehawk - very cool Van Saars. What are the base models? I can see a bit of dark eldar but not sure.

CT GAMER - I really hope you're going to be showing off the rest of the gang. These two are exceptional. Really like the pale skin tone.....how did you do it?

Ribon Fox - I like the colour scheme. Very nice red.

scrunty - Nicely painted, I feel a realistic colour scheme. You're also used the good looking old Orlocks. I'm looking forward to seeing the other three gangs if they are up to this standard. If you've not played in years I recommend the community edition of the rules http://anthony-case.me.uk/necromunda

Escher with a plasma fetish. Used new Wychs as base and a fair bit of converting.

I like the Idea of a 5 Man Space Marine Scout Squad, who are on a recruitment drive. Popping into the Underhive to see if there are any potential young Juves they could kidnap and then induct into their chapter.

Otherwise I like the Idea of small team of bounty hunters, with all the Malifaux stuff etc about you could make some amazing models.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Thanks dudes - Will put my orlocks up at some point.

Space marines in the underhive sounds entertaining mwinchibo. They would kick some hive butt - but maybe the brave underhivers will set an ambush and atempt to turn the tables on the power armoured marines.

Another fun idea is to make rules for the beginning of a genestealer cult; start off with just a couple of gangers and a genestealer and make special rules for brainwashing new gang members and birthing hybrids from them.

They also play as a veterans squad w/ grenadiers doctrine in my drop troops army (bulked out w/ 2 flamers & 2 more shotguns).

The guy to (our) left of the proctor has a lascutter which works as a heavy stubber in Necromunda games.

Ta very much weety. General consenus seems to be very positive but a couple of these characters don't really fit into the imperial/inquistion theme as well due to my rather obivous use of DE parts...will have to re-jig a bit but on the whole they're almost ready for paint

@Poipo - Sorry I didn't notice this for so long! That's one of the dead stalkers from Lead Adventure.

@DeadestDai - Great RT crew, they're so characterful! The kroot in the background looks great, and is that savage guy at the front an astropath?! I'd love to hear some background for them if you have any! The guard are ace too, but they're a little eclipsed by the RT guys

I've got a couple more minis to show, just so this is a bump with content:

Magpie

Lodge, a heavy

Tollen, a scavenger

And a captive for rescue scenarios

Please keep the gangs and minis coming, it's great to see everyone's efforts!
