Greetings all.

I now have two Soul Grinders (almost) built:

Just waiting on bits to make their 'gun' arms and then they'll finally be off my desk (until painting time that is).

Got four Screamers done today:

Also realised that I forgot to post the finished Soul Grinders:

Slightly ironic that the brightest most cheerful paint schemes in 40k belong to the gribbliest nightmares o the grim darkness.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Haha true. Just look how happy they all are!

Just a quick post tonight. Painted up a couple familiars to represent the effects of Cursed Earth and the Grimoire. Hope you like.

More words on my blog for those who are interested!

The palette is just wonderful and so, so crisp. Glorious.

Cheers chaps

I've got another little update this evening. Now that the missus and I have moved into a bigger place, I actually have room for a table. As a result I've been knocking up a bit of "quick and dirty" terrain for it. These three started life as vivarium ornaments, but they'll be much happier on the battlefields of the far future. I needed some decent LOS blocking terrain for my table and these fit the bill. They're not up the quality of a moulded GW piece of terrain, but they were cheap and they're nice and sturdy too.

Another update from me (and there was much rejoicing)! Got the first of two Heralds done:

I went for a predominantly blue scheme for this guy, as he'll be accompanied by the blue Screamers in my 1500pts list.

Greetings all.

Here are a couple WIP pics of the chaos bastion I've been working on. I went with a dark red and silver scheme, to go with my Word Bearers (that I haven't even assembled yet...).

I filed off the imperial eagles and added a few chaos stars, then covered the lot in textured paint. I also began the tedious task of covering the doorway in skulls (because Chaos):

Then I managed to slap some paint on it last night:

That might be one of the few cases of somebody needing to ADD skulls to GW scenery

Haha I didn't even think of it like that!

Quick update from me, with more to come very soon.

I painted up some more familiars to serve as psychic power markers:

From left to right they represent "Iron Arm", "Invisibility", and "Shrouding".

Another little update as promised... Got three new flamers painted up:

Not really my best work but I'm happy with them, and they're just for the occasional summoning anyway. Cool little models though; I'm a big fan of all the early tzeentch stuff (before it was all birds and Egyptians).

Comments welcome of course.

Cheers dude. They're pretty much as weird as it gets, which is one of my favourite things about the Realm of Chaos era stuff!

I've been unusually productive recently, and my finished Chaos Bastion proves it:

I painted it up in Word Bearers colours, as I'll be expanding my collection to include a bunch of Word Bearers and cultists when I have the time. If anyone would be hanging around with a gribbly horde of daemons, it would be those guys!

Greetings all.

Got plenty of painting done this weekend, including these two:

They'll represent "Enfeeble" and "Endurance", respectively. I've got another little something that's almost ready to show, but you'll have to wait

Guess those little guys didn't tickle your fancy then How about something a little bigger (although still pretty small in relative terms)?

Got me a Be'lakor painted, I did. I've actually had the model for a while, but the excellent dataslate has given me a reason to paint him up.

Hope you like!

What a blog! Love me some OOP daemons, have quite a number in my Fantasy Daemons of Tzeentch

Favs so far are probably the Lords of Change with their wings clipped, as scrawny as those sculpts are. Anyway, keep up the gribbly work!

Cool ideas. I chose Word Bearers in Epic for a similar reason they can support any gods Daemons quite happily.

More from me... Got Fateweaver finished today:

This is actually the second version of him that I've painted. The first one was replaced with a metal version (this one) because finecast is the worst thing that has ever happened to anyone. The original is here:

I changed up the colour scheme to match my more recent models, and because I didn't want to paint the exact same thing again.

A delicious side effect of finishing this guy is that I now have a fully painted, and fairly effective, 1500pt army:

Greetings all.

A couple of quick WIP shots from me. Not sure if I've posted my converted Plague Drone champion before, but if not...

The champion is built from an old palanquin of Nurgle rider, with some more modern components and a bit of green stuff.

Also blocked in some colours on this guy:

An old Jes Goodwin champion to serve as a herald of Tzeentch on foot.

Till next time.
