Just a lil bump on this one. Just so everyone knows, this one has been fully funded so there is no danger of not meeting the Indie-gogo goal.

For $30 you get 40 modern day looking zombies, which is completely and utterly dirt cheap compare to other maker out there for this quality. Hitting the 7,500 mark will include additional heads for mix and match goodness.

$55 - 80 zombies
$100 - 160 zombies

The $7,500 goal has been reached, so every boxset now comes with 2 sets of 4 (8 total.) resin zombie heads.

Some more stretch goals have been added to the campaign too, including the female zombies that i posted as a rumor earlier in the thread.

$10,000

On hitting our second stretch goal we will add :
*the unique character zombie cast in white metal to every perk.
*a second unique character zombie cast in white metal for perks of $55 or more.
*the choice of 3 survivor miniatures cast in white metal from our Survivors range(this can be single or group miniatures) for perks of $100 or more.
*the choice of 7 survivor miniatures cast in white metal from our Survivors range(this can be single or group miniatures) for perks of $200 or more.

$12,500
On hitting our fourth stretch goal we will add :
*the second unique zombie character cast in white metal to every perk
*the choice of 3 survivor miniatures cast in white metal from our Survivors range(this can be single or group miniatures) for perks of $55 or more.
*the choice of 7 survivor miniatures cast in white metal from our Survivors range(this can be single or group miniatures) for perks of $100 or more.
*the choice of 15 survivor miniatures cast in white metal from our Survivors range(this can be single or group miniatures) for perks of $200 or more.

$20,000

On hitting the fifth stretch goal we will add :
PLASTIC FEMALE ZOMBIES.

They're at $8,200 now. 8 days to go. They can hit the $10k goal. $12,500 at a stretch (see what I did there?). I think $20k is a bridge too far though.

Great value for Zombie minis and being able to mix them in with the German Zombies is a great little side benefit. I think he should have pushed this angle a bit harder, as the zombies are great, but there's not a lot else there that's of interest. Campaign was/is also way too long, especially cinsidering that it's Indiegogo, who takes your money immediately - making it more painful to change your pledge later. Still - it's great value for what you get. I went in for $55 - 40 Nazi Zombies and 40 civvie ones. I was tempted to go in for $100, but I doubt I'd ever get around to painting 180 zombies, even if half of them were wearing German Unis...

$12,500 should be the female sculpts, in my opinion. According to their initial campaign, $5000 was what they needed for tooling so $12,500 would get them paid for and cover the extra heads.

Personally, I don't care about survivors right now, and they don't add value for me. I already pledged $100 (in fact, I kicked them over the $7500 stretch), and more variety added to my 160 zombies would be better.

Personally I think they have the ability to hit 20k, if this campaign manages to get enough attention over the final week and Stuart posts some pictures of the WIP females i could definitely see them hitting it.

i agree that the 90 day campaign really hurt this project, in that 3 month period alone we've had 4-5 major Kickstarters launch not to forget the countless number of smaller campaigns.

From my understanding the actual tooling costs for injection moulded plastic is very expensive, to produce a single sprue costs much more that the initial 5k they were originally asking for.

Most miniature based KS/IGG campaigns tend to set their initial goal lower than they need, it means they can add stretch goals earlier as incentives to gain more backers and by having the a low initial goal it pretty much eliminates the possibility of the campaign failing.

I mean look at Sedition Wars, there is absolutely no way that game cost only $20,000 to produce.

I don't see them more than doubling their existing pledges in 7 days based only on the 4 core sculpts they have (or even 4 + nazi Zombies). If they were closer to the female stretch goal, then maybe, but being so far from it the promise of females aren't going to cause more people to pledge. Especially with the WGF Female zombies near-available, also for a cheap price.

They're at $10,421 with 43 hours left in the campaign, so it does look like they will fall far short of the 20k.

I think the end timing of this campaign is pretty unfortunate, not only because of the WGF female zombies you mentioned Scipio but people are also starting to receive their Zombicide copies too. (Got mine in the post today.)

Their campaign was far too long and lacked more interesting stuff. Considering how good their metal zombies are, I'm not entirely sure why they weren't added into the equation at a discount to get pledge monies moving.

Stuart also seems to have faded out a fair bit. 17 updates in 88 days, less than 48 hours to go, and the last three updates were 8, 9 and 28 days ago. - ie we've been doing more to keep the campaign visible by bumping this thread than he has on his own IGG page (never mind him posting elsewhere.)

A shame really.

Well With only an hour and 10 minutes left in the campaign i think this thread deserves a final bump.

$104 to go until the campaign reaches the $12,500 stretch goal, if they manage to reach it all orders will include both limited edition models for free.

Opinions on that differ, I'm in the Max Brooks camp: They shouldn't exist.

Quite a few "Modern" zombie movies have sprinting undead.

And to paraphrase a friend of mine, if that ever happens, we're all screwed!

(Well, more screwed than being in a Zombie Apocalypse in the first place!)

Than again, most of the above weren't really "Zombies" but "infected humans" with some from of super-rabies. Not undead.

Honestly when are modern zombies "undead" anyways?

Unless we are talking about undead metaphorically like in Dead Rising

Pedantry FTW!

Though even George himself has said there should be no fast zombies, not even in the remake of his classic.

Of course, that ship has sailed, and fast Zombies are somewhat all the rage...

ITS BACK LIKE A ZOMBIE!

Looks like the Zombies are shipping out. Someone on TMP has some

This must be my week for Kickstarter and IndieGoGo stuff. Earlier in the week I got my Citi-Def minis from Mongoose and today got my Z-Clipz zombies from Studio Miniatures. Here are a few pics comparing them to Wargames Factory plastic zombies and Zombie Plague's Crissy Hot-Rod.

I'll be painting some of these as time allows. First impressions is that they have much better detail and proportions than the Wargames Factory zombies and seem to be slightly taller overall. In the following pictures the Wargames Factory zombies are the ones with sand on the bases.

(Note: The packaging that says that the box contains 60 miniatures but this is not the case. This might just be a typo.)
40 zombies plus 3 metal ones and 8 resin heads for $30. USD Good deal! Not sure how much these will retail for.

The detail is a little soft.

Cgecking my emails, I see that I haven’t heard anything in 2 weeks. They state that they will let people know as they're sent out. The project had a total of 214 funders. Surely they can sort and post out more than 20 orders per working day?

Being generous, allowing for only 6 hours per working day and only 2 orders an hour should still take only 2 employees 2 five-day weeks to do 240 orders….

I wonder if these will arrive before Christmas?

I wonder if they got a single demo set in via airmail to sign off on (like Mike McVey has a single Sedition Wars box),

and the rest are going to come over on a boat ?

ouch, yeah that detail in the faces is pretty weak. I really hope that isn't what we should expect with all the boxes. Also not terribly happy that the feet are attached to something :/

I got mine last week, they are definitely better than that pick suggests. They are pretty slight and non-heroic though which may disappoint some people, and the clothing styles are a bit bland but the way I see it most modern clothing is of a pretty similar cut and it's up to the painting to give it some variety.

They also look (I haven't directly compared yet) very compatible with their Nazi Zombie sprue, which I am a big fan of -shame it's only a two man sprue- and which I have combined successfully with Warlord's plastic Nazis (bulkier, but not jarringly so).

As for the extras - lead Z is nice enough, bit more heroic and in rags, zombie Romero is cool though will just join the horde. I asked for a bonus survivor that was outside the range offered, and put an in-offer alternative as well - they were kind enough to send both! Props for that, great customer service

Update from Simon (in the IGG comments, not the IGG email updates to all backers - /sigh)

Stuart said 2 days ago
Hi Folks

All of the $30/$55 level pledges have shipped,we are working on the $100+ level as we speak. ALL non-painted orders will have been shipped by Monday 3rd December so everyone should have theirs by Christmas.
Everyone has been great with their comments and patience so if you dont have your zombies yet it wont be much longer now.
On a personal note Studio Miniatures will be shut from Monday 3rd December until Thursday 6th so I can get married
Thanks
Stuart

Mine came yesterday, though I've only had a chance to put a few together because im working nights.

The detail is actually really good - the musculature on the arms, for example, is really well done and the detail on the clothing is really crisp. The faces do seem a little coarser, but are still much better than the pictures suggest. There's loads of extras too - for every 4 zombies you put together there are 4 spare heads and 4 spare arms, so lots to customise with. They also scale almost perfectly with the zombicide zombies, so should be nice to get some variation in there. The leg poses leave a little to be desired on the variation front, but with some creative posing (or hacksaw and a little gs!) you should be able to get a nicely varied horde.
All in all, for the price I'm really pleased! Anyone else get theirs yet? Ill post some pics when I have some painted

Did you get a despatch email? Stuart initially said he would be dong so, but later comments never mentioned it again, nor did the people who had them arrive seem to be mentioning them. I'm expecting mine to hopefully be sent out today unless something screwed up, as I was a $100+ backer, so my stuff would be going out last, according to what was written in the comments (that'll show me! next time I'll go in for $20!)

I didn't get any kind of dispatch note actually - was starting to wonder if they'd gone missing, as my postman's pretty ropey

Seems a bit odd to send out the most expensive orders last - hope yours show up soon, mate!

Someone else got a review of them here

What I found most useful was their size comparisons on other 28mm zombies
