Aw shucks, thanks guys!

The fluff working for you then? I'm still not sure where I'm going with it, if anywhere. I've definitely moved away from the old focus which was Skyfury's shady history and am looking towards moving in the direction of Crone being a creepy matriarchal, brainwashing, cult leader. Do you feel it needs a direction and ergo, eventually, a conclusion? I'm not sure anyone is following the events on that level so maybe it's better to focus on using the little snippets to open up the characters and learn about them.
Medium of Death wrote:Great posing. Makes me want to start that Qapu Khalqi force of mainly KTS troops.
Do iit! You know you want to. I've actually decided that Haqq will be my third faction but I'm going to put it off until I've completed what I have.

Thanks man, I'm not sold on them yet. The new guy is probably the strongest one and I doubt he'll need any changes. No legs I'm happy with but it needs a lot more conversion work to complete. Arms out is okay but I compromised due to base size so he looks a bit awkward, I've got a solution to that now so he'll need revisiting. Arms forward is just a huge disappointment due to the legs, I've got a feeling I might do something crazy to fix him, don't know what yet.
Medium of Death wrote:No idea about the weapon question. I always find Infinity a bit vague in that regard.
Oddly Infinity is normally very good in this regard, particular these days. Often though things are so subtle that they are easily missed. I saw someone's post in the official forum conversion thread, he'd bought a load of resin grenade launchers and strapped them onto the backs of 90% of his army because he thought it was stupid that none of the models were carrying their LGLs. Then someone points out that all the miniatures in question have underslung LGLs on their combis. Lucky he's happy with the look of them that way, I would have cried.

I like this thinking, are we talking the forearm armour on the right or the raised section of the chain colt on the left forearm? Both sound feasible. Completely coincidentally I saw a post on the official forum where IJW referred to modelling the 'pod' open to show the weapon, I've sent him a pm for clarification so we'll know for sure before long.

Anyway thanks for the comments as always lads. I'll have another update in the not too distant future no doubt.

I'm not sure it needs to be working towards any kind of conclusion, I just find it quite amusing and slightly tongue in cheek at times, which I think fits with the Infinity style and especially Nomads; everything, even giant-gun toting battlesuits, are a bit of a joke to them. It's at odds with the slightly grim undertones of the darker side (like the end of the last bit) which is great.

Well IJW got back to me very quickly with some interesting information that I've somehow missed in the Gecko frenzy.
Spoiler:
See anything interesting in the art? On the back? Yep, we have found the missing missile pods! What was I saying about subtle?

Thank you very much for the feedback and for reading. I think I could enjoy writing it more and possibly produce better pieces by approaching it this way. I've been trying to drag it kicking and screaming in a direction all the time but it really doesn't need it. It also strikes me that if I tackle the fluff like I tackle the models I'll be better able to deliver that combination of 'tongue in cheek' and 'oh these guys are serious soldiers'. I think the two pieces that accompany Bark's first entry and the piece attached to Shiny are good examples of these two worlds colliding, I'll be trying to keep that vibe going.

Huh. Interesting. I thought those were just part of the backpack. Like the exhausts or something lol.
